Over 500 cases of snake bite cases are reported annually across Uganda of which this is just 30 % of the known cases. Many cases go unreported in communities and those reported are never saved as it’s reported that over 92% of Ugandan doctors don’t know how to manage snake bite cases.
Objectives

❖ venom extraction, research and training will promote education of masses on importance of venom in their day to day life and promote innovative plans among community members
❖ Conducting community based specialized hands on training courses on snake avoidance, basic snake bite first aid case management, prevention and snake identification will enable health workers respond faster to cases hence saving lives.
❖ To promote income generation activities among locals in areas where snake bite is a problem.
