I am a WildLearning Specialist at WildTeam with a PhD in Conservation Biology.

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022.

A Florida native and University of West Florida alum, she has pursued advanced studies in Tropical Forest Landscapes Conservation and Restoration at Yale University. She has expanded her knowledge in Science Communication and Sustainable Development Goals through Erasmus University Rotterdam. Additionally, she has gained expertise in Large Marine Ecosystems' Assessment and Management from Cape Town University. In addition to her role as an ecopreneur, she actively engages in volunteer work with environmental and conservation organizations, as well as outreach groups, using her professional skills to contribute meaningfully to the assistance of others.

I am a marine biology graduate with an MSc in conservation from Plymouth Uni. I use to be the assistant community manager of WildHub and. have a passion for science communication and bringing people together. 🦇 In my spare time I have a blog as well as a Redbubble shop where I sell my artwork. My name is Valeria and I am the Media and Women Empowerment Manager at conservation non-profit Transfrontier Africa NPC. We are based in Olifants West Nature Reserve, Greater Kruger in South Africa. Everything that we do for conservation on our beautiful country is based on 5 strong pillars: 1. Research 2. Wildlife Management 3. Wildlife Security and Anti-Poaching 4. Women Empowerment and Community Integration 5. Environmental Education and Awareness I am super proud of being part of our team. My core responsibilities are: media relations, social media management, events (conferences, talks, presentations), fundrasing, funders relations and women empowerment and upliftment. The latter is my recent domain that I am extremely interested in and inspired to work on, and  that in fact pushed me towards the course in Project  Management as I realised I need to structure multiple projects within the Women Empowerment programme to coordinate them better and manage them.

I want to find new ways to have a positive impact on the environment and communities around the world. How I do this is pretty open; I have wide-ranging interests (including the arts and spending time outside) and am willing to adapt to changing circumstances.  Although I've stepped back from being a community advocate for the WildHub community, I'm still happy to answer questions about the platform and will do what I can to help connect people.

I am a young career multidisciplinary scientist with a Bsc Fisheries and Aquaculture and highly interested in sustainability options including wildlife conservation and environmental protection. I also have professional experience in international development, fisheries and Aquaculture, research and climate change mitigation and adaptation awaiting my first assignment as a technical expert reviewer of the UNFCCC.

Silto Jaime Cristóvão is a Biodiversity Conservation Specialist and Environmental Activist. He has a degree in Biology teaching with habilitations in Chemistry teaching from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the Pedagogical University of Mozambique (UP-FCNM). Currently he is a Master candidate in Geographic Information Systems and Natural Resources Monitoring at the Catholic University of Mozambique, Faculty of Economics and Management (UCM-FEG), Beira, Sofala and Master candidate in Territorial Planning and Biodiversity Conservation from Zambezi University, Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Natural Resources (UZ-FEARN), Chimoio, Manica. He is also a candidate for a Professional Driver's License. Mr Cristóvão worked as Coordinator of SMART (Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool), Biodiversity Survey and Monitoring in Niassa Lion Project or Niassa Carnivores Project, a Biodiversity Conservation and Environment Protection company based in Niassa Special Reserve. Has experience in biodiversity research, especially carnivores, having participated in the last carnivore research call up edition, in the Niassa Special Reserve in 2018. He also worked as a Research Officer for the Wildlife Conservation Society Mozambique, a non-profit organization that manages the Niassa Special Reserve in partnership with the Government of Mozambique through the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC). Silto Jaime Cristóvão has a wide experience in Natural Resources Monitoring, Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Protection acting as Conservation Biologist. He has taught Biology and Chemistry and has experience in the areas of Journalism and Radio Broadcasting with emphasis on radio journalism and voice-over. Hello! I'm Léa and I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam UK. I help create, design and deliver training courses. I love getting to know all the participants and learning from them :) Previously, I was working with BirdLife International on forest governance issues and in my previous life I worked in the development sector in the United States. Education-wise, I have studied economic development, international relations as well as tropical forestry in the past.  Hope to catch you in a WildHub social!

I work for WildTeam UK, helping to deliver training workshops, write conservation best practice manuals and share them as widely as possible. Previously a Writing Fellow working with various conservation organisations across India. Background in research, particularly behavioural ecology. Bird nerd.

I'm a biodiversity consultant working mainly in the corporate space. I work with large companies to help them figure out their nature-related impacts, dependancies, risks and opportunities, then use this information to create biodiversity strategies. 

I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
