I’ve played sports since high school, so I joined a local softball league to stay in shape and meet new people in the area. I’m the captain of our team this year, so I ask my team to show up an hour early to warm up and run some plays before the game. I even helped a fellow team members improve their swing. I encourage everyone to communicate during the game and try to keep each player involved so they can get more experience. I want to be a leader in my next employment position, and my experience as a team captain has provided me with opportunities to conduct training and boost morale in tough situations.

I'm a biodiversity consultant working mainly in the corporate space. I work with large companies to help them figure out their nature-related impacts, dependancies, risks and opportunities, then use this information to create biodiversity strategies. 

I am Opeyemi Blessing OYAWALE, a first-class wildlife and ecotourism management graduate from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, fueled by a deep passion for wildlife research and conservation consultancy. My academic journey has been a quest to understand and contribute to the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. With a firm foundation in wildlife and ecotourism management, I am on a dedicated path towards becoming a wildlife researcher and consultant. Motivated by my curiosity to explore the complex lives of wildlife, I want to establish a name for myself as a researcher and provide accurate evaluation for conservation initiatives. In addition, my goal is to provide sustainable practice consultations that help close the gap between human activity and the health of the various ecosystems on our planet. I'm continually looking for scholarship opportunities to further my education overseas as part of my quest for excellence. By doing this, I hope to improve my perspectives on the world, my knowledge, and my abilities, positioning myself to have a bigger influence in the field of wildlife research and conservation. My vision includes promoting responsible wildlife management, becoming a catalyst for positive change, and encouraging peaceful cohabitation between people and the natural world. Hi! My name is Osvaldo Abrao, I am Mozambican and Conservation Biologist. I am working in Zinave National Park, as Carnivore Reintroduction Project Coordinator. Zinave, is one an Conservation Area in Recover Process and now the population of prey are growing well. As  result, we have natural return of predators, mainly lions. In addition of lions I am working with hyenas, leopards and other small predators.  I am very interested to learn more about predators, species conservation, restoration, how engage community in conservation and to hear more success histories in conservation around the world!

Cleo has an M.Sc. in Applied Animal Behaviour & Animal Welfare from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh) and a B.Sc. in Animal Biology from Stirling University (UK). She has extensive experience in assisting and managing complex research projects for multiple research institutes and private laboratories. She has built up a strong technical background in the South African Bushveld deciphering wild animal behaviour and bio-acoustics, in cancer research and behind an electron microscope looking for a link between positive animal welfare practices and the abundance of microglia (the brain’s primary innate immune cells).

Hi, my name is Elena and I'm a Master's student of International Nature Conservatin at Göttingen University (Germany) and Lincoln University (New Zealand). Inspired by a deep interest in nature, conservation and environmental issues, I look for many different ways to learn and gain a deeper understanding of the world around me. Travelling, meeting people and sharing opinions allow me to be open and open-minded. My hope is to work in the field of conservation, helping to raise awareness of issues such as biodiversity loss and climate change, while giving the public the tools to actively contribute. 

I have 8 years working experience in Sustainable Forestry, Fisheries, Wildlife Management and general Community based natural resources management (CBNRM) working in the North Luangwa National Park of Zambia. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife management and Biology and a Master’s degree in Climate Change and sustainable development. Currently, I am supporting the WeForest Zambia team in the implementation of the Luangwa livelihoods and conservation Activity project based in Mpika, Muchinga Province. I am based in the North Luangwa National Park Landscape, North Eastern Zambia.

Experienced in driving nonprofit community engagement and development across multiple audiences for NGOs, institutions, corporations and foundations. As a storyteller, relationship builder and lifelong learner, I'm committed to understanding audiences to meet and exceed their needs. My experience across multiple organizations with vastly different strategic goals demonstrates my nimble and resilient working style, as well as my commitment to projects and functions of team strategy. I seek to address and remove barriers to conservation education in underserved communities, and work alongside community members to understand and address important, conservation, socio-economic issues.

I'm Phydias Senan Agossou, PhD student at the Institute of Geography of the University of Bern in Switzerland. I had a Bachelor and a Master degree, both in management of natural resources in my home country, Benin. Actually my PhD is focused on landscape connectivity in agricultural landscape of Benin. As it involve a good numbers of field related to ecology conservation, GIS, Species Distribution Modelling, this community is the best to help me aware about what is been doing in the scientist world. My expectation joining this Hub is then to gain knowledge from other from one hand and to share my experience with them through my ongoing PhD thesis  and to build a solid scientists network necessary for my career from another hand.
