Although it seems silly, I can definitely see how document naming could be contentious. This convention works well if everyone has access to a shared document that can be edited live because nobody would need to update the document name to indicate they had provided suggestions; they could just write their edits in comments and track changes, and the producer would create the new version when they go back in to respond to the suggestions. It could get trickier if the document needed to leave the organization, where the reviewer might create their own version with their initials in the document name before sending it back, and the producer would end up with multiple copies of the same document with different reviews. I think the best guidance is having one producer who can manage the versions if and when reviewers or others get off track with the selected naming convention.Β
