Appointment to the PREZODE International Expert Committee
This appointment is part of the PEPR PREZODE program supported by France 2030, which brings together research institutions and global partners, including the World Health Organization, Food and Agriculture Organization, and United Nations Environment Programme, to strengthen efforts to prevent zoonotic disease emergence.
My work has largely focused on the wildlife–human interface and community health systems in conservation landscapes in Africa, where interactions between people, animals, and ecosystems are most evident. Through this role, I hope to contribute perspectives from grassroots conservation and community-based OneHealth practices to global conversations on pandemic prevention.
I am grateful to the mentors, colleagues, and communities that have shaped my journey in conservation and public health. Platforms like WildHub continue to play an important role in connecting practitioners working at the frontlines of conservation and health.
I would also be genuinely interested to learn from the WildHub community: how are you integrating One Health approaches into conservation practice in your landscapes?

Congratulations! 🎉
Thank you very much @Flavia Manieri
Thank you for celebrating this milestone with the WildHub community @Ssali Ogwal Ronald, and congratulations again on your appointment! 🎉
I’ve added your post to the “Let’s celebrate nature & our work” room so that members following that space are notified of new content. For future posts, please do remember to assign them to one relevant room or channel, this helps ensure your contribution stays visible and reaches the right audience.
Also, would you perhaps be open to a short interview about the One Health approach with one of our Conservation Catalysts? I think our community would really value hearing more about your experience.
Thank you very much for the kind message and for helping place the post in the appropriate room. I appreciate the guidance and will be sure to assign future posts to a relevant channel.
But also, I am grateful to celebrate this milestone with the WildHub community, which continues to be a valuable space for learning and collaboration across conservation and One Health practitioners.
I would certainly be open to a short interview with one of the Conservation Catalysts about the One Health approach. Please feel free to let me know the next steps.
Many thanks again.
Wonderful — I’d love to connect you with @Nwamaka Uzonnah, one members in Nigeria who is a trained veterinarian and has joined our Conservation Catalyst Programme to explore the One Health topic amongst other topics. Thanks so much for your positive and prompt reply and over to you Nwamaka!
