Our new Satellite Careers Series speaks with inspirational people making change in the conservation and environmental sector in careers that think outside the box. Feeling like you don't know which career path to go down? This one is for you.

Our first event speaks with Louise Smith, Senior Manager, Environmental Supply Chain at The LEGO Group.

  • Louise has worked in sustainability across the banking, legal, technology and manufacturing sectors for over ten years. She currently works in the LEGO Group’s global environmental responsibility team leading initiatives to lower the environmental impacts of the LEGO Group’s supply chain.
  • She was drawn to her career by a passion for nature and a ridiculous need to be helpful. This led to her inevitably being interested in saving the planet and all her fellow human and non-human earthlings. Since she didn’t turn out to have any superpowers, she chose a career in sustainability instead. In her personal life she loves cycling, loves travelling although does her absolute best to do it without flying if she can these days, and thinks her cat is generally an excellent little being.
  • Louise has a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of London and an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford.
