Conservation educator

My name is Lydia Kalekye from Kenya,a conservation educator at Friends of Ondiri Wetland Kenya and Apollo Science Children's Centre. This course resonates a lot with me, especially because I am into wildlife training for kids. I am looking forward to learning and sharing with the participants.

Did I mention that I just started my own conservation program for schools? I did, and the reason behind is to give kids the experience of interacting with nature in a whole different way, being cautious of every activity they engage in not to harm any component of nature and loving nature. This course is a significant component of my work and has complemented on various aspects of wildlife conservation,a field that I mostly find myself dwelling so much on.

A warm welcome to WildHub Lydia! Wonderful to have you join us and thank you for sharing about your background.

Perhaps of interest to you could be our WildHub Community Advocate role here, which can be a great experience for networking as well as shaping and supporting the conversations in our global community. Have you met@Vimbainashe Eunick already? She is running our Conservation Education room and based in Zimbabwe.

I would also recommend joining our member Social events (dates here) which is a great way to get to know other members.
