Expert review help needed: Course outline on how to set up a conservation organisation
Natural State and WildTeam are creating a new course, "Setting Up a Conservation Organisation."
We are looking for people with experience and expertise in setting up and developing organisations to help review the initial course outline.
This course is tailored for anyone interested in establishing a conservation entity, including seasoned conservationists, recent graduates, and professionals transitioning from other sectors.
Our learning objective is straightforward: equip participants with the knowledge to set up and register their conservation organisation from start to finish.
The course encompasses a comprehensive journey, starting with a self-assessment quiz to evaluate readiness for setting up a conservation organisation. It covers essential principles like building for the future, creating a culture of care, openness to change, and thoughtful team assembly.
Participants will engage in a step-by-step process, beginning with establishing a work management system and culminating in operational setup. Key steps include defining the organisation's purpose, detailing strategy, crafting identity, developing a business plan, establishing governance, and legal registration.
We would be honored to have your review and feedback on this course outline, ensuring it effectively meets the needs of aspiring conservation leaders.
So if you have a few moments, please just add your comments to this document. If you do add any comments it would be great if you could also mention your name, contact email, and affiliation so that we can acknowledge your contribution in helping to create and strengthen this course.
If your organisation is also interested in partnering with us to help fund and/or develop this course in some way then please get in touch at partnerships@wildteam.org.uk .
Many thanks is advance for any time you can spare on this.
