Hello everyone,
I have just joined WildHub and I am excited to be here and to learn more about the important work that we are all doing. A little about me; I am currently working part-time as a Junior Aquarist, whilst also getting my degree part-time from The Open University in BA (Hons) Environmental Studies - I came into further education a little later than most. I hope to do a master's degree, in the future, more focused on conservation but one step at a time!
My goals and ambitions are to become a conservation communicator, preferably freelance, to enable me to learn about and promote the wide range of work that is happening in the sector. As part of this goal I have been doing a number of volunteer roles whilst undertaking my studies, including; working with reintroduced species, rehabilitation and release of animals exploited for tourism, reviewing camera trap footage and hopefully, also sharing regular content on here! I have a blog that I am trying to grow, where I post my writing on the natural world and also a little about wellness, which you are all welcome to follow - www.smallworldbigcause.com.
I am looking forward to being a member of this community, expanding my networks and developing skills along the way. Keep up the good work everyone and do get in touch if you want to discuss anything with me.
Thanks!
