Hi,  I'm Anish, a young conservationist with an interest in nature based solutions, human-wildlife interactions and conservation outside protected areas. I am currently a consultant at Legal Atlas, working on projects pertaining to wildlife trafficking, biodiversity conservation and wildlife health. I founded Think Wildlife Foundation. We have a few research projects on human wildlife conflict and wildlife cybercrime. We also have hosted a few plantations in the past in our neighbourhood and plan to expand these works in the future. I also host The Think Wildlife Podcast!

I am a wildlife veterinarian specializing in great apes and monkeys but I also enjoy working with elephants, cobras and a variety of other endangered species. I traveled regularly between rescue and rehabilitation centers in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the United States. I mentor new veterinarians and teach at St. George's University of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean. I have a Masters in Veterinary Epidemiology from University College London with my thesis being done with ZSL regarding the endangered red squirrels of Great Britain. 

I work for a South African-based NGO. The overall goal is to conserve and protect elephants and rhinos through poverty alleviation. I started as an elephant monitor primarily focused on observing and recording behaviour, human-elephant conflict mitigation, and training/educating. From there, I have become project coordinator. However, there has recently been a change in management and a shift in focus, which means I will need to focus on areas I am not familiar with - project management being one of them.

Highly experienced in supporting policy and decision making through delivering data on marine species, coastal pollution, and water delivery on the local, state, and federal levels. Early in my career I took every opportunity I could to gain experience in marine mammal science from California to Quebec. These opportunities created strong connections eventually guiding me to researching plastic pollution while earning my masters degree. As I finished writing my thesis, I began working with NASA on projects using satellite imagery and big data to investigate drought, this experience immensely strengthened my project management, mapping, and analytical skills. Last year I ventured into conservation writing wanting to build on my science communication skills. I love swimming in the rivers & sea, climbing mountains and walking all over the UK. Scuba diving, snowboarding and novice surfer. I love a pint and relaxing in the park when I see mates in the city. Growing up on the banks of the Wye I currently live rurally looking for the 'good life' Eco Sustainable living. I am hoping to help build my home, maybe my own log cabin! I enjoy networking and am an effective communicator, advocate and educationalist. Past experience, conducting business meetings & community engagement, have honed my skills in management of staff and volunteers. I have a diverse skill set. I am adept at statistical analysis, SPSS & GIS, management plans, report writing & scientific valuation of research. At this pivotal point in the earths future I have set up a grass roots organisation as I am passionate about making a change. Having worked in business, not for profit organisations, governmental partnerships, charities, practical conservation and humanitarian volunteering I feel I have a wealth of experience to help over the coming years. Both part time and freelance options appeal to me. I take pride in my continued professional and personal development, from amphibian ID, food safety to first aid & scuba diving. From my work with the RSPB in Primary schools, teenagers for the Devon Youth Service, to leading a team of youth in Nepal to volunteers in train carriage restoration shows I am effective all round communicator / enthuser. I have conducted business in many forms, I feel I have much to offer, using my initiative and positive dedication. I work for WildTeam UK, helping to deliver training workshops, write conservation best practice manuals and share them as widely as possible. Previously a Writing Fellow working with various conservation organisations across India. Background in research, particularly behavioural ecology. Bird nerd.

I am a fresh graduate student from IPB University, Indonesia, with a bachelor in Marine Sciences. I have a strong interest in conservation, specifically in Elasmobranch conservation for sharks and rays. I am planning to pursue higher learning in conservation and hoping to develop and manage Sawfish Project Indonesia as my first time to lead the conservation project. The project will be performed in Merauke, Indonesia, to find science-based information about the presence of Sawfish in Indonesia, to monitor the population distribution, and to identify means to reduce targets and bycatch of Sawfish there. My biggest ambition is to become a who is capable of combining both science and social approach to protect Elasmobranch species in Indonesia.

I am very happy to explore science, by knowing science I can be grateful to the creator. I'm still studying animal systematic science. I joined this community to be able to increase my science knowledge & also have friends who are outside the country.

Veterinarian specialised on wildlife management and natural areas conservation.

I am a passionate individual dedicated to ensuring wildlife and wild places are here for years to come in an equitable and sustainable way. An animal lover all my life, it made sense that I would pursue a career focused on the wellbeing and conservation of wildlife. Once I obtained my B.S. in Animal Science, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama to work at the Birmingham Zoo with African mammals. During my time as a zookeeper, I focused much of my energy on educating the public by communicating information to generate understanding and create compassionate attitudes for endangered wildlife and conservation priorities. My natural ability to make connections with people led me to use my time to engage the public and coordinate partner priorities as the Operations Manager for the Global Conservation Corps where I worked both individually and as a team to increase support conservation education and boots-on-the-ground efforts. Additionally, I also acted as the Bowling For Rhinos Communication Liaison with the American Association of Zookeepers where I coordinated communication and connections with field conservationists and zoo professionals. Recently I returned home to Columbus, Ohio to focus on completing my Master’s degree in Conservation Biology through Miami University of Ohio’s Project Dragonfly studying attitudes and participation in conservation while also coordinating collaborative conservation initiatives with university professors, zookeepers, and community members.

A year ago I decided to quit my job as a Senior Consultant to go freelance and I haven't looked back! I have an extensive background within conservation and am looking to flexibly apply my skills towards positive societal change.
