Survey completed. Good luck with your plans Ashley! Looks interesting.

As a side-project last year I set up a sustainable painting and decorating business locally and found that clients were very happy to chose more environmentally responsible products, even though they were more expensive, when I explained how they were more sustainable.

Hi Stella, just a note to say that I love this (first!) blog, and I think your advice is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for sharing about your experience :)

Replying to Lizzie Bannister

Hello (and to Adam here too LOL) I am white, female, hard of hearing, has mild cerebral palsy and suffer from anxiety, and am a horse rider and keeper but love the countryside, studied conservation to the MSc level and understand the importance of nature and biodiversity and sustainability. I'm pretty diverse myself! I did get told not to join a walking trip in the Peaks District at my college I was studying conservation at so that was a massive no-no but is 10 years ago. Lets not let anyone have this horrible experience again! People eve didn't get that I can ride horses at one point there! Lizzie

Thanks for your comment Lizzie and I'm very sorry to hear about this negative experience. We have a long way to go to make conservation an inclusive field and hopefully this is something we can work towards together. All the best!
