I’m a wildlife veterinarian who has spent the past 16 years working in wildlife conservation and animal welfare. My experience ranges from veterinary medicine and rescue center management to leading conservation projects, developing animal welfare standards, and building partnerships that help organizations have a greater impact. I’ve had the opportunity to work with teams across Latin America and internationally, always with a practical, collaborative approach.

I am a Wildlife Conservation Scientist, Environmental Educator, and Science Communicator based in Mumbai, India. I am currently a Programme Coordinator at Wildlife Conservation Society-India focusing on human-leopard interactions, and the Director of Media and Comms. for SOLARIS TRAIL CAMERAS, Brisbane. I completed my Masters of Conservation Science from the University of Queensland and have worked on projects involving the conservation and ecology of large mammals like sloth bears and leopards, environment awareness campaigns, and science communication. My interests include but are not limited to community-based biodiversity conservation, large mammal ecology, and raising environmental awareness. I enjoy the outdoors, especially birding, photography, hiking, and digital illustration. I joined WildHub to interact with like-minded folk in the field of Wildlife Conservation across the globe. I hope to participate in much needed Conservation conversation and figure out ways to better safeguard our wildlife and the planet.

I am a Marine Conservationist, and I work at The Shark Trust. I cover our Science Communication work, this could be anything from running citizen science events, designing infographics or documents that support our conservation work, delivering our schools education programme, working with other organisations on how we communicate about shark conservation, assisting and presenting at events/conferences, hosting the Shark Trust Podcast, to running the social media accounts. Beyond my conservation pursuits, I bring a wealth of experience as a Nurse, Phlebotomist, and Suicide Prevention Trainer. My professional journey includes roles as a Band 5 Nurse in Secure Services (forensics), Adult Acute, Psychiatric Intensive Care, a Clozapine Phlebotomy Clinic, and Perinatal Mental Health Services. And as a Clinical Team Leader (Band 6) in Rehabilitation Services for adults experiencing psychosis.

I am Fleur, based in the UK, and I am the WildHub Conservation Catalyst Programme Co-ordinator, supporting conservation professionals to develop their writing, communication, and leadership skills through this inclusive global platform. I hold a Master’s degree in Animal Behaviour from the University of Exeter and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University. My research background includes woodland butterflies and bumblebees, alongside a strong interest in woodland animals more broadly. I also have comprehensive knowledge and expertise in domestic rabbits and their welfare and care. Alongside my work in conservation, I am the founder of Your Own Mum (https://www.yourownmum.co.uk/), a resource space and weekly journal supporting mothers navigating parenthood without maternal support or a traditional family network. This work draws on my background in psychology and my passion for creating thoughtful, compassionate spaces that help people feel less isolated and more understood.
