I have a broad range of experience in the management of natural resources, landscape restoration, agriculture, wetlands management and conservation, GIS and remote sensing, data analysis, peace and conflict resolution, and research projects with an emphasis on water quality, aquatic system management, and the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems. Through advocacy for policies, conservation education, and conservation projects, I am passionate about preserving the natural world and preserving threatened species. I have delivered superior research services in collaboration with government agencies, religious institutions, and International, regional, national, and local NGOs.

I'm a passionate wildlife conservationist with a deep-rooted love for the natural world. With a strong foundation in Botany and Zoology, my academic journey culminated in an MSc in Wildlife Health and Management from the University of Nairobi. My research on the effectiveness of deterrent lights for mitigating human-wildlife conflict was a pivotal step in her career, leading to a published study that contributed to conservation strategies. Currently, I'm a freelance research consultant. However, over the last 5 years, my previous roles have involved overseeing field operations, conducting in-depth research, and fostering strong community relationships. My commitment to understanding the complex interplay between humans and wildlife fuels my dedication to finding innovative solutions for coexistence. Beyond my professional pursuits, I'm an avid explorer with a profound appreciation for the outdoors. Inspired by childhood adventures in Kenya's national parks, I developed a lifelong connection to nature. I have designed and instructed field courses in East & Southern Africa from 2 weeks to a month and as I absolutely love this, I continue to do this as a freelancer for universities whenever needed. I worked and still work with with ShareScreen Africa to curate FREE learning experiences through guest speakers. We are still at the very beginning of our journey and have many a plan in store for students hungry for more knowledge and experiential tales from those working in the field. I am working as a Teaching Fellow at the African Wildlife Economies Institute to curate an online learning experience in conservation business and leadership (I am not contributing to content but to dissemination of content). My focus here is the learning management platform and the community we can build that will be full of ideas and new perspectives. The idea with all I do, virtual and in-person, field and classroom based, is to deepen the understanding of leadership amongst our learners, to drive a personal and professional journey in learning that has both vision and ‘future hindsight’. As Head of Communications at Whitley Fund for Nature, I am responsible for leading the organisation’s communications strategy, using the charity’s platform to spread awareness about Whitley Award winners across WFN’s website and social media. I lead on campaigns, and support across the charity’s PR and events to raise the profile of Whitley Award winners. I'm also a Trustee of Born Free Foundation, and I founded The Wildlife Blogger Crowd in 2020; a virtual network of over 250 bloggers, social media influencers, podcasters, and filmmakers. In 2021, I published a book of our collective works, ‘Connections With Nature’.

We share personal stories from the frontlines of conservation globally.  I have a background as a Applied Biologist and have been traveling the African continent since September '22 in a Land Rover Defender. Alongside watching wildlife and learning more about new countries and cultures, we (my partner and I) visit projects for Ubuntu Magazine.

I am a wildlife film-maker and photographer from Kenya. Besides producing wildlife documentaries, we also publish coffee table books with Augmented Reality.  I run a company in Kenya, and we are also fixers for foreign productions wanting to come and film in Kenya.
