About Manon Verijdt
I am the founder of Ubuntu Magazine. We share personal stories from the frontlines of conservation globally.
I have a background as a Applied Biologist and have been traveling the African continent since September '22 in a Land Rover Defender. Alongside watching wildlife and learning more about new countries and cultures, we (my partner and I) visit projects for Ubuntu Magazine.

Hi Nalini,
Nice to meet you here as well ! Let me know if you ever want to brainstorm about something, I'm happy to help out wherever possible.
Great to see you here Leanne! Very cool to hear about what you're doing. May I ask which countries you focus on?
That sounds super interesting! Would you be willing to send me an email with some of your details? I think your research and work could be extremely interesting for our nature conservation magazine; Ubuntu Magazine. Perhaps we could do an interview with you :) Let me know if you'd be interested!
@Alan J. Hesse , @Kenneth Chin , @Lorena , @Brenda de Groot , @Kathleen Reinhardt , @Giuseppe Forestieri, and @Sofiya Shukhova : would you perhaps know anyone who would be interested in joining Manon's team at Ubuntu?
Thank you Thirza! That means the world to me.
Welcome to WildHub, Ninying! Would you share some of what you've learned studying African grey parrots?
Welcome to WildHub Ninying. So interesting to hear about your research! I visited Cameroon a couple of months ago and although we saw quite some African grey parrots I was not aware of their place in the communities there, and the threats they face. I would love to stay in touch and to hear more about your work. Maybe we can feature what you do in Ubuntu Magazine in the future.
Great to see you here Leanne! Very cool to hear about what you're doing. May I ask which countries you focus on?
