Thanks for sharing this interview! It brings up some valuable concepts. I like the idea of simplifying complex issues creatively and visually. Story-telling is so beneficial to making connections and finding effective solutions. Just a note: I watched the video with captions, and some mistakes could impact a reader's understanding of the video. The biggest thing to note is the misspelling of Giuseppe's company.
Hi Lara, thank you for your feedback and thoughts on the interview. I think Giuseppe came across really well with his tips. I'm a little confused regarding captions as I did not add any, were you using the Youtube automated subtitles?
Thank you so much for sharing this Jack and for telling us your story Lucy. I especially love your mindset that you were actively looking for organisations that put community inclusion at the forefront.
For my own career dreams, and others in the Wildhub community, how do you tackle your own personal ethical dilemma surrounding wanting to work in other countries and support conservation efforts but also avoiding taking away job opportunities from local people and communities (hard question to answer I know) :)
Thank you Lize. Re: community inclusion, I just find organisations on the forefront more interesting to talk to. I'd spend all day interviewing park rangers all over the world if I could figure out how to do it! (Genuinely).
And thank you for the question to follow. I wouldn't worry about the dilemma you describe, countries across the world are starving for expertise, just like we are in the UK in many areas.
Thank you for sharing this brilliant podcast Jack and was great meeting you in last months social to hear all about your work. Are we allowed to have an insight into upcoming podcasts/projects?
Thank you for your kind words Lize. It was nice to meet you too last month. As it happens I'm actually posting one tomorrow with Lucy Radford from Orangutans SOS which was really interesting! Also, I'm just finalizing a date for a recording with Giuseppe Forestieri on communicating conservation to wider audiences.
Thank you for sharing, Jack! Interesting episode. Would you be able to invite Daniella to WildHub as well? Then we can add her as a contributor to this episode. To invite others to WildHub, please click on the "Click to invite others to join" button which you can find on our homepage, under our welcome message. Let us know if you have any questions & many thanks in advance!
Hi Thirza, I'm glad you enjoyed the episode. Do you have any feedback? I tried adding Daniella but it said I was unauthorized to do so. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary is a member of the Conservation Optimism Network if that helps. Best wishes. Jack
Thank you for another installment of your podcast Jack. Its great to see more useful information about COP27. @Ussi Abuu Mnamengi think you may be interested in this!
Hello Lize, thank you for your comment. As it happens we should have another COP27 episode out this week from the CEO of Nature Conservation Egypt! I hope you enjoyed the episode.
