Hi Léa!

The morning group girls and I were discussing the format of the grant application and had a question: what is the reasoning behind having the Activities section after Monitoring and Evaluation? We found it a bit difficult to really understand the monitoring and evaluation fully without first understanding the actual planned activities. Is this just convention, or is there another reason behind this order?

Thanks!

That makes sense, thanks Léa!

Hi Léa!

I decided to go for the Whitley Fund for Nature grant because of the accessibility of it and the way their values really fit in well to my (theoretical) project. My only concern is that the 2022 application period isn't open for another month or so, so I can't find too much information on the actual content they want in the application. I'm not sure how much of an issue this will be for future exercises, so I have The David and Elaine Potter Foundation as a backup.

Excited to learn more!

I really like how you separated out the different threats so you were able to look at each in more depth. This is a complex problem with some difficult changes to make, but you were able to lay it all out in a very organised way. Well done!

This looks really good! Thanks for giving us a great example of Miradi in action. I also really like that you looked at more of a restoration-leaning project; land/habitat restoration has always been a keen interest of mine. Well done!

Hi Léa!

I would be really interested in WildTeam looking at Grant Writing and Social Marketing. I would be signing up for those courses as quickly as I could!

Hi Benjamin,

If you are still going to be in the morning live sessions, I'd be really happy to work on this topic with you! I'm new to the topic mangrove conservation, but am happy to do some research before the live session on Monday.
