Hello Everyone! In a previous post, a few people mentioned that they are looking for conservation/ecology remote volunteering opportunities currently available. I've been volunteering (remotely) with a new UK-based conservation charity called Plover Rovers, who specialise in marine and coastal education. I have spoken to Scott, the director of the organisation and we still have room for a handful of volunteers for various remote positions. The roles are not horribly complicated or stressful, and any commitment of just a few hours a week or more is all you need. I've been really happy with how friendly all the other volunteers are and what a great CV- and network-builder the volunteering is!
If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer, you can email Scott at plover.rovers@gmail.com to see what all positions are available. If you're just curious and have some more questions about the "vibe" of the charity or what I do as a Local Engagement Officer (which has open positions), you can always email me at aurora.hood@plover-rovers.org.uk. For general snooping, check out www.plover-rovers.com or find them on all the major social media sites!
