With over two years of volunteering experience at a nonprofit conservation organization, I developed much interest in safeguarding nature when I noticed the numerous threats to nature. This arose the desire to contribute as much as possible towards nature conservation. Together with a team of like-minded young professionals we founded the nonprofit organization ,Green Growth Allies, through which we promote environmentally friendly and conservation initiatives. Thus, improving skills, collaborating and networking is our aim at this early stage. As such, Wildhub is just the right platform.

An explorer and an aspirant biodiversity conservation researcher. I seek to delve deeper into the study of the human-nature nexus and strive to foster more harmonious coexistence. I have gained brief experience in wildlife conservation at the Creative Conservation Alliance, working with Western Hoolock Gibbons and a few other wild animals. I am also working as an Associate Trainer at Mekateam, a game-based pedagogy where I provide training on basic climate literacy and biodiversity conservation to youth. Moreover, I synthesize and express my understanding of biodiversity and the natural world through my initiative, 'Toru.' I have 8 years working experience in Sustainable Forestry, Fisheries, Wildlife Management and general Community based natural resources management (CBNRM) working in the North Luangwa National Park of Zambia. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife management and Biology and a Master’s degree in Climate Change and sustainable development. Currently, I am supporting the WeForest Zambia team in the implementation of the Luangwa livelihoods and conservation Activity project based in Mpika, Muchinga Province. I am based in the North Luangwa National Park Landscape, North Eastern Zambia.

Hi!  I am an earth advocate who is passionate about saving our Oceans. I am HSA certified and help disabled veterans heal through the power of the water via SCUBA as a scuba buddy.  I am also part of the leadership team of DEEP foundation Inc. Where we connect families to the environment through conservation education and engaging in local clean up efforts. Often partnering with local National Park for conservation events. My favorite being Coralpalooza and dives against debris. 

I am a highly driven conservation scientist with experience working in the environment, tourism, and conservation fields. In addition, I am also a BEAPA Certified Environmental Assessment Practitioner. My contribution to conservation is through both social science and natural science, with several academic journals, focusing much on Biodiversity conservation and rural livelihood nexus.  Throughout my career, I have a proven track record of coordinating conservation projects for several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), where I gained valuable experience in natural resource management. I coordinated and managed project activities, developed and implemented stakeholder engagement initiatives, and formed alliances with the government, agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders in the conservation sector. As a certified Environmental Assessment Practitioner by the Botswana Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association (BEAPA), I have successfully carried out a number of EIAs and EMPs projects. My work contributed significantly to long-term environmental protection solutions.

As a dedicated ecologist, waste manager, and circular economy advocate, I'm driven to catalyze positive change in biodiversity preservation and climate crisis mitigation. With expertise spanning conservation science and circular economy practices, I recognize their integral role in addressing environmental degradation and fostering sustainable peace. The BioversNG Workshop empowered me with invaluable insights and skills over six transformative weeks, enabling me to contribute more effectively to protecting Nigeria's rich biodiversity. Now, as the Operations Room Assistant with WCS Nigeria at Yankari Game Reserve, I'm excited to leverage this knowledge and experience in a practical and impactful way. Combining hands-on fieldwork experience with ecological principles and waste management strategies, I champion climate action and promote peace initiatives. As co-founder of the Ecology Students Forum at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, I facilitate meaningful discussions advancing ecological knowledge and exploring ways to leverage insights for broader climate resilience and peace-building endeavors. One of our programs Is under Climate Justice where we encourage formation of climate clubs among institutions in order to conserve our environment by planting trees & cleaning the ocean.  

Hi, I'm Paul Chinyama a dedicated conservationist with a profound love for nature and a strong commitment to preserving biodiversity. My journey in conservation began with my passion for exploring wildlife, which has since evolved into a career focused on habitat restoration and species protection. With over four years of experience and a Bachelor of science in wildlife conservation and natural resource management, I have developed expertise in designing and implementing effective conservation programs. My work at African Parks leads me to a significant increase in native bird populations through habitat restoration efforts. I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to preserve wildlife and continue making a positive impact on the environment.

My research focus is the cultural and utilitarian ways rural communities value wildlife with a focus on endangered apes in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I used mixed methods including doing interviews with community members and reconnaissance walks in adjacent village forests. My goal is to work for a conservation organization that partners with communities to find conservation solutions and implement initiatives that benefit both people and animals relevant to the local context.
