My name is Mugiraneza Eulade and I'm from Rwanda 🇷🇼🇷🇼. I am a passionate conservationist with an Advanced Diploma in Wildlife and Conservation Technologies and hands-on experience in wildlife tracking especially chimpanzee, youth mobilization in climate action and environmental protection as a Green Rising Ambassador. I completed a professional internship at Nyungwe National Park, where I participated in a park-wide chimpanzee monitoring survey, enhancing my field and research skills. Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Landscape Management to deepen my expertise at the same time working as Park Ranger at Nyandungu Eco-park.

Caring for the Earth is as essential as protecting the organisms within it. Growing up in a community rich in natural resources, yet the lack of ecological awareness led to the vulnerability of biodiversity (flora and fauna) due to devastating environmental degradation. This sparked a pivotal shift in my career path. Instead of healing people (children) as a pediatrician, I chose to heal ecosystems as a Wildlife Biologist and Ecologist. I am currently pursuing an MPhil in Wildlife and Range Management at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I have spent the last five years actively contributing to conservation efforts in Ghana. My experience spans roles at the Kumasi Zoological Gardens, Safari Valley Eco Resort (Safari Eco Park), Resource Management Support Center (RMSC), and field research at Mole National Park. I have developed interpersonal, technical, and soft skills in education, outreach, and tour guiding, wildlife Management and research, and GIS and remote sensing applications. I am driven by the ambition to be a Voice for Wildlife, and I am eager to contribute my skills to a multidisciplinary team like the WildHub Community, where I can help protect Earth’s biodiversity. My love for wildlife and biodiversity has motivated me in every step of my career in the new phase of my life. I’m Alexandra Verdes, an ecologist and environmental project manager with over 5 years of experience in the NGO and conservation sector. I currently work with WWF Romania, supporting the implementation of various projects, including cross-border initiatives focused on wildlife connectivity and conservation in the Carpathians, as well as forestry, innovation, and climate change projects. My academic background includes a Master’s in Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation and specialised training in animal-assisted therapy, waste management, and environmental education. I’ve also worked with youth groups, local communities, and international partners to organise different events, trainings, and outreach programs. I’m a wildlife veterinarian who has spent the past 16 years working in wildlife conservation and animal welfare. My experience ranges from veterinary medicine and rescue center management to leading conservation projects, developing animal welfare standards, and building partnerships that help organizations have a greater impact. I’ve had the opportunity to work with teams across Latin America and internationally, always with a practical, collaborative approach.

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022. 

I'm Liane, and I am a WildLearning Specialist at WildTeam! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! For the last few years, I've been working in Seychelles, focusing on island and marine conservation efforts, particularly coral restoration and turtle nesting monitoring. If you ask me questions about coral, be prepared for me to get very nerdy about it! Prior to that, I was managing a project in Northern Thailand, where I worked closely with a local community to set up ethical elephant experiences in their village. In my free time, I love running and hiking, and being anywhere in nature. I have also learnt to freedive in the last few years and enjoy doing that when possible. I'm really interested in talking to different people and learning from them and their unique experiences.

I started working with captive rescued monkeys in 1999 and went on to earn an MSc in Primate Conservation (Oxford Brookes University) and another in International Animal Welfare Ethics and Law (University of Edinburgh). I've worked for a number of animal welfare organizations, most recently the Animals Asia Foundation and the Asia for Animals Coalition. I've been trustee and director for Neotropical Primate Conservation since its establishment as a UK charity in 2007. I'm particularly interested in the way human and non-human primates relate to one another, and the intersection between conservation and animal welfare. I feel that it's important that these are treated as complimentary, rather than contradictory, concepts. I am a multihyphenate working across environmental conservation and equity spaces, serving clients with program and project design and assessment, policy advocacy, strategy, communications, and thought partnership. My firm primarily serves nonprofit and government entities, with select partnerships with mission-based for-profit companies. I bring my expertise in law, anthropology, policy, communications, and wellness to the work advancing equitable conservation.  I am also a passionate and avid SCUBA diver, coral restoration volunteer, and fundraiser aiming to advance equity in ocean conservation through local, hands-on, in-the-water work. I am Opeyemi Blessing OYAWALE, a first-class wildlife and ecotourism management graduate from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, fueled by a deep passion for wildlife research and conservation consultancy. My academic journey has been a quest to understand and contribute to the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. With a firm foundation in wildlife and ecotourism management, I am on a dedicated path towards becoming a wildlife researcher and consultant. Motivated by my curiosity to explore the complex lives of wildlife, I want to establish a name for myself as a researcher and provide accurate evaluation for conservation initiatives. In addition, my goal is to provide sustainable practice consultations that help close the gap between human activity and the health of the various ecosystems on our planet. An explorer and an aspirant biodiversity conservation researcher. I seek to delve deeper into the study of the human-nature nexus and strive to foster more harmonious coexistence. I have gained brief experience in wildlife conservation at the Creative Conservation Alliance, working with Western Hoolock Gibbons and a few other wild animals. I am also working as an Associate Trainer at Mekateam, a game-based pedagogy where I provide training on basic climate literacy and biodiversity conservation to youth. Moreover, I synthesize and express my understanding of biodiversity and the natural world through my initiative, 'Toru.' Currently, I am undertaking research on Asian Elephants addressing the human-elephant conflict in Bangladesh.
