I joined to do the project management for wildlife conservation course to specialize project management skills and hopefully work professionally in the field of conservation. 

I am an Economist and Researcher who is passionate about the conservation, biodiversity, nature based solutions and preservation of the ecosystem and the environment. I have experience as a reviewer and policy advocate.  I look forward to finding the like-minded people and learn from one another.

I’m an ecologist, herpetologist, and lifelong conservationist with a deep-rooted passion for the natural world. My fascination for reptiles, especially snakes and lizards, has helped to shape my career to date. I have been fortunate to work as Project Manager on the Snakes in the Heather project to help conserve reptiles in the lowland heath habitats of southern England and to gain field experience abroad, such as working as a Field Assistant on the Pygmy Blue-tongue Skink Recovery Program in Australia. I have a varied work history that has allowed me to build a unique skillset, including customer service as well as conservation-based skills such as report and grant writing, project management, fieldwork, research, GIS (using ESRI ArcGIS and Q-GIS platforms), and stakeholder engagement. I enjoy training, mentoring, and inspiring like-minded people, sharing knowledge, and delivering impactful conservation projects. I am known for my enthusiasm and conscientiousness, and being analytical and organised. I take pride in achieving high standards in my work. Outside of work, I have played the drums for 30 years, enjoy mountain biking, and I am an avid traveller. My adventures often combine my love for reptiles with exploring the natural world and connecting with conservation efforts worldwide. With a creative streak, I blend my artistic skills and lateral thinking to enhance conservation resources.

I am a graduate of BSc in Environmental Science I have skills and experience in managing environmentally sustainable projects as a researcher, field officer, M & E, and project manager.  I have handled WASH, Waste4Health, Wildlife conservation, and distributed renewable energy projects in various capacities.                                                                                              I am an outgoing, dedicated, ready-to-learn person who does everything possible to achieve the intended result.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

I am an expert in tourism and environmental conservation, with a Masters in Wildlife Conservation. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Management and Governance at the University of Nairobi. My current research project is on human-lion conflict. I believe that successful integration of conservation, tourism, and livestock keeping is only possible if each form of land use is given equal attention. Governance arrangements that are based on the local community are likely to be more fruitful in achieving win-win outcomes. I am a lecturer of sustainable tourism and environmental conservation at Karatina University. My greatest passion is to see sustainable development for economies that are based on natural resources. I mobilize people to invest and undertake activities that provide solutions to everyday challenges like energy-saving appliances while at the same time helping combat climate change and global warming in the long term.   

I am Shahid Hassan, a dedicated graduate in Zoology currently pursuing a master's degree in the same field. My passion for wildlife conservation drives my academic and professional pursuits. I am committed to understanding and protecting diverse ecosystems and the species they support. Alongside my academic interests, I thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with diverse communities to achieve common conservation goals. My dedication to preserving wildlife and fostering ecological balance guides my efforts both in research and community engagement.

Highly experienced in supporting policy and decision making through delivering data on marine species, coastal pollution, and water delivery on the local, state, and federal levels. Early in my career I took every opportunity I could to gain experience in marine mammal science from California to Quebec. These opportunities created strong connections eventually guiding me to researching plastic pollution while earning my masters degree. As I finished writing my thesis, I began working with NASA on projects using satellite imagery and big data to investigate drought, this experience immensely strengthened my project management, mapping, and analytical skills. Last year I ventured into conservation writing wanting to build on my science communication skills. By professionalism I am a wildlife conserver professional, bachelor degree holder in wildlife Management from college of African wildlife Management. Learning and expertise in wildlife ecology, Ornithology, Entomology, Herpetology and mammalogy. Interesting in nature flora and and fauna, Interesting on animals behaviors, ecology, Identification and interpretation of these resources has been to my heart all time. I have five years of experience as a tutor in two different colleges, first was Tropical Institute of Tourism and hospitality, Second Is the current National college of Tourism both in Tanzania mainland.  I worked as a nature guide and a co research data collector at Udzungwa Ecological Monitoring Center.

Hi wild team my name is Cyprian Chisi, and I am excited to join this vibrant network of conservation professionals. I have just completed my BSc degree in Natural Resource Management (Wildlife & Ecotourism), from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, i also hold a Diploma in Environmental Management. i specialised in wildlife management, GIS and Remote sensing, Research,Biodiversity conservation, ornithology, ecosystem managment, watershed and wetland management, eco tourism planing, environmental education, population ecology and sustainable land mangement. I expect to connect with experts, professionals and mentors here at WildHub and this will help me to find more opportunities in conservation journey like partnerships, funding, scholarships, learning, internships and leadership development as well as job opportunities.  

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022. 

Raghavendra Pattar is a multifaceted professional who has successfully transitioned from a long career in IT to pursue his passion for wildlife and photography. As the Founder and CEO of Naturepix, he combines his skills as a writer, wildlife filmmaker, certified naturalist, and wildlife photographer to tell compelling stories about nature. With 19 years of experience in IT as a Head of Talent Acquisition, Raghavendra brings a unique blend of corporate expertise and creative vision to his current role. His work spans various specializations, including wildlife conservation, portrait photography, and macro photography. Raghavendra's dedication to his craft has earned him recognition as one of the top 35 photographers in Bangalore and the top 125 in India by the International Photography Club. Raghavendra's commitment to wildlife conservation is evident in his projects, such as the Melapura Blue Tailed Bee Eater Conservation Project for the Government of Karnataka. He is also an accomplished writer, having contributed articles to international and national magazines on migratory species and authored a book on the Birds of Mysore. I have been a Professional Wildlife Photographer / Film Maker & a Conservationist for the last 17 Yrs.  I have been studying migratory birds ( Blue Tailed Bee Eater & Bar Headed Goose ) and have published various articles in International Magazines.  I have recently completed Filming a documentary on Blue Tailed Bee Eater for the Government of Karnataka and the Department of Forest.  Our organization is more focused on the decline of Migratory Birds due to Environment and Climate Change in Mysore ( Karnataka )  

I am a dedicated marine and freshwater biologist currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on wildlife conservation and sustainable fishing practices. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in understanding the complexities of marine ecosystems and the challenges they face. I completed my MSc with a thesis on the West African Manatee (T. Senegalensis), where I investigated the mechanisms of bycatch through different gillnet configurations. This study not only mimicked the daily fishing activities of local fishers but also provided valuable insights into the interactions between manatees and fishing gear. My findings revealed new species involved in bycatch, as well as the primary causes of fish damage, ultimately suggesting the best gillnet configurations to minimize bycatch. In my PhD program, I am expanding my research to identify and map bycatch sites along the coast of Cameroon. My current projects include analyzing various pollutants found in sharks and rays, understanding the effects of these pollutants on the health and genetics of these species, and determining their age to better comprehend their life cycles and conservation needs. I am passionate about reducing bycatch and promoting sustainable fishing practices. As part of my conservation activities, I will be training local fishermen on best releasesing practices, which involve techniques to safely release life bycatch back into the water, and educating them on how to effectively use GPS technology to monitor and manage their fishing activities. I believe that community engagement is crucial for successful conservation efforts. I invite community members and local stakeholders to join me in these important initiatives.
