I am a  Postdoctoral researcher with the Arctic Genomics Project, focusing on the use of genomic tools to support wildlife conservation, food security, and Indigenous-led research in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions. My work lies at the intersection of conservation biology, climate change, and community-based approaches, with a strong emphasis on ethical and respectful collaboration with Indigenous Peoples.

My name is Fidèle KASANGANDJO MWAGALWA, a Congolese national, passionate about environmental conservation and the sustainable management of natural resources. I am an experienced and committed environmental analyst with over five years of experience in ecological monitoring and anti-poaching operations across Africa. Over the course of my career, I have developed strong expertise in analyzing ecological dynamics and using advanced tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies. 💼 Most recently, I served as an Environmental Monitoring Analyst at African Parks Congo, where I played a key role in producing strategic reports to guide ranger patrol operations. I also conducted operational analyses to assess the impacts of human activities on biodiversity, supervised aerial surveillance missions, and studied poaching trends—contributing to the preservation of wildlife in Garamba National Park. 🔍 Previously, I worked as a researcher at the Congo Basin Water Resources Research Center, where I led projects focused on water resource analysis and hydrological modeling. My work provided strategic insights for the sustainable development of local territories. My ability to collect, process, and analyze complex data, combined with my skills in supervision and project management, enabled me to contribute to impactful initiatives such as projects related to the Climate-Water-Migration nexus. 🌱 Today, I am open to new opportunities and collaborations in environmental management, sustainable development, and natural resource analysis. I have a deep passion for nature and wildlife, and I have always felt connected to nature. After achieving my degree in biological sciences at the university of Buenos Aires (Argentina), I applied for a graduate position at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council Argentina (CONICET), in collaboration with the National University of Jujuy (northwestern Argentina), where I study mammals using camera trapping. 

For the last 8 years I have been involved in planning for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services, ecological restoration and monitoring of flora and fauna throughout Chile and Europe. The last time I have dedicated to expand my knowledge in ecology towards aquatic ecosystems, acquiring tools in scientific diving, coastal planning and bioacoustics.

Hello everyone, I'm delighted to be part of this community. My name is Romance HOUNKPATIN and I'm originally from Benin. I'm passionate about socioeconomic and sustainable development, which cannot be achieved without a sound understanding and rational management of our natural resources. This is one of the reasons I'm taking this course. I work in project management, particularly social projects, and I'm deeply committed to inclusion, social justice, education, and any initiative that contributes to strengthening human dignity for all and developing the resilience and growth of individuals and communities.

I am the project coordinator of the Wildlife Forensic Fund. We help combat wildlife crime by funding the training of first responders to preserve evidence and take them to court successfully. We are eager to connect with wildlife forensics enthusiasts.

I am a Dutch tropical field ecologist living in Colombia, working as a Project Manager for the NGO Fundación ProAves. In this role, I focus on securing funding for a wide range of conservation initiatives across the country and beyond. My work allows me the privilege of frequently visiting ProAves’ 27 nature reserves spread throughout Colombia’s diverse ecosystems. As an ecologist, my interests span multiple disciplines, including botany, geology, and soil science. However, my true passion lies in zoology, especially birds, primates, and herpetofauna. Over the years, I’ve conducted extensive scientific fieldwork throughout the Neotropics during numerous internships and expeditions. That deep connection to the region’s biodiversity ultimately led me to stay and dedicate my life to conserving the extraordinary species and habitats of what is truly the land of birds.  Soy un ecólogo tropical neerlandés radicado en Colombia, donde trabajo como Director de Gestion Proyectos para la Fundación ProAves. Mr. Paudel currently serves as a senior program manager at Bird Conservation Nepal. He has over fourteen years of experience in bird and biodiversity conservation, fundraising, project planning and implementation, and engaging with local communities to safeguard threatened bird species.

Naturalist, traveler, French-Polish herpetologist, interested in biodiversity and the conservation of herpetofauna. I have always been passionate about observing and studying amphibians and reptiles, especially different species of lizards in many countries. This has allowed me to gain experience in scientific research by collaborating with other specialists, attending numerous conferences and writing papers on herpetofauna. I participate in numerous monitoring and conservation programmes. Member of the IUCN SSC Monitor Lizard Specialist Group. Addicted to Natural History. I am a soon-to-be environmental management and sustainability graduate with knowledge on environmental law and policies, environmental management, science communication and ecological economics. Now at the beginning stages of my conservation career, as a WildHub conservation catalyst, I'm excited to learn and share from conservation experts. 

I have been working in the conservation sector since the mid-1990s, largely based in the UK and working for international NGOs. I began as a grant fundraiser and moved into programme management, including working with a range of partnerships/coalitions. I am also a technical writer and I have worked on various projects from high-level reports to blogs. I have an MSc from the Durrell Institute of Conservation Ecology at the University of Kent (UK). I currently work for ANIMONDIAL - a travel consultancy advising on Nature Positive tourism and other aspects of animal and nature protection in the travel industry; I manage our Animal Protection Network of on-the-ground conservation projects.

I was born in Kenya and have lived i the UK for 42 years now. My many years of working with small businesses and running various events to raise the profile of the businesses, has landed me a post for fundraiser Trustee for a UK wildlife Hospital. The founders of the hospital are very seasoned friends of mine and their dedication to saving every wildlife animal bird that comes through their door, is simply inspirational.  Therefore, I want to learn more about writing funding applications and grant applications. I also want to share my experiences of what has worked for us and what has not. Hopefully, we can all become better at doing what we do, through skill sharing. 

Trained in biology and anthropology, I have spent 20+ years in the non-profit sector. Passionate about social and environmental justice, my focus is on the intersection between conservation and community rights and wellbeing. As the co-director of Global Diversity Foundation, I have experience in organisational strategy development, fundraising and donor relations management, HR management and recruitment, financial oversight, operations, conflict resolution and mediation, non-profit governance, communications and dissemination, and event organisation. A highly skilled partnership-builder, relationship-manager and strategic thinker, I speak four languages and currently oversee a multicultural, multilocal team of 15.
