Hello there I am a Donor relations specialist and grant writer learner eager to learn more about conservation organizations and the grant writing process that supports writing winning project proposals for conservation projects and non-conservation projects in Africa, particularly Zambia with a focus on biodiversity conservation, wildlife conservation health and community development projects

I am a conservation biologist with experience working in zimbabwe and Nigeria. My areas of interest are: ornithology, conservation technology, conservation communications and Community Based Natural Resource Management. I am currently working at a cattle and wildlife ranch deploying the Holistic management framework to ensure coexistence between people, planet and profit.

I have been a biology teacher for the past eight years and I am transitioning from teaching to the Ecology and Conservation field. 

Where is restoration taking place around the world, and how is it being tracked? This is an important question that should put ecosystem monitoring at the forefront to achieve both quantitative and qualitative goals. That's where my work comes in—launching data-driven solutions for monitoring, reporting, and guiding investment. Because both people and the planet matter.

I specialise in communications and marketing for environmental charities, making ordinary people give a damn about and engage in environmental stories and campaigns - fuelling action and creating change. I work for an agency called more onion that helps progressive charities and non-profits have more impact through campaigns, fundraising and/or supporter engagement. My I love working with animal/environmental charities, as this is the area I'm most passionate about. I've worked for WWF, Greenpeace & Surfers Against Sewage, as well as grassroots organisations. As I'm neurodivergent, disabled, a carer and from a working class background, I'm passionate about making sure projects and campaigns are as inclusive as possible - we need everyone to change the world on the scale needed. Studying an MA in Anthrozoology part-time at Exeter (remote). My final project is studying vocalisations of critically endangered captive Javan Green Magpies and how we can use bioacoustics to inform welfare and understanding. Primate fan, but now falling in love with song birds. I have a BSc in Biology from St Andrews and won an Undergraduate Award for my genetics research. I live in the UK. I work for Lancashire Wildlife Trust as a Communications and Engagement Trainee along the Kingfisher Trail in Bolton. I recently changed career from an Environmental Consultant in agriculture and thoroughly enjoying my first four months. I have project management experience from a consultancy role but never received formal training and love that this course is focussed on conservation projects. 

I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
