Hi!  I'm Ashling, an MSc Wild Animal Biology graduate with two years of experience in academic publishing. During this time, I have gained invaluable insights and skills in this field, however, I am now eager to align my professional experience, academic background, and passion for conservation. I have a strong interest in animal behaviour and conversation. I would be keen to further my experience in undertaking and carrying out behavioural research projects in the field. I am also keen to develop my skills in wildlife project management.  I hope to one day be a behavioural and welfare researcher at a zoo to contribute to meaningful conservation efforts and apply my existing expertise while continually learning and growing my skills.  In my free time, I love to go on hikes, horse ride, scuba dive, read, and crochet.

I'm originally from Spain, and I came to live to Massachusetts on 2011 with my husband and 2 kids (now teenagers).   Professionally, I work in Corporate IT, first in Santander Bank and then PTC.  More than 30 years of professional experience in different areas of IT. Since I was a kid I had a huge interest in wildlife, and my first desire was to become a veterinarian, but life took me in a different direction.  But I don't think it's late to start any adventure, so I've decided to put the work and time to be involved in wildlife conservation.  I really would like to see myself as part of projects that really make an impact. I'm a certified Scuba Diver and now starting my journey to Freediving.  I also enjoy sailing, and this summer I hope to get ASA certified.  I've enjoyed birdwatching in the past, and I really enjoy all things around wildlife. I come here full of interest in starting my new adventure into wildlife conservation, hoping to meet people who can inspire me and help me find my way in this new stage of my life.

I have over 8 years work  experience having worked in conservancies and conservation organizations. My expertise is in community conservation, Partnerships creation and management, Sustainable development and Nature restoration.  

I am an early career researcher currently working on the recovery of black grouse populations in northern England. From a young age, I have been obsessed with the natural world and have dedicated my life, so far,  to working for wildlife.  I have a BSc in Natural Sciences and an MRes in Biology (focussing on nature-based tourism across Africa and the UK). My main interests are: African mega-fauna, species recovery and landscape restoration, human-wildlife co-existence, camera-trapping, research and education.  I joined the WildHub community to network with like-minded individuals and to help pursue my career as well as those around me. Skilled in plants identification, project management, wildlife conservation, Off-road defensive driving and intelligence gathering. Strong research professional with a bachelor's focused in Plant Science and Resource Management from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. I've been working in two Malayan Tiger major source sites In Malaysia, Endau-Rompin Landscape (ERL) approximately 3600km2 comprises Pahang and Johor state and Taman Negara Terengganu (Kenyir Core Area) approximately 853km2. I am one of the pioneer teams in surveying the proposed Al-Sultan Abdullah Royal Tiger Reserve in Pahang.

Hi there! I'm based in London (Irish citizen, from Galway). I studied Applied Marine and Freshwater Science and graduated in 2016. I worked in this field, took part in research surveys (oceanography and cetacean sightings) and did some volunteering in marine conservation. Since moving to London in 2018, my career shifted to corporate, start up, and small businesses, working as an Exec Assistant and Project Manager.  Conservation and Animal Behaviour and Welfare is still a big passion of mine and I want to immerse myself back in this line of work!
