I am a Malawian,  a graduate from the University of Malawi, a passionate young climate activist, a founder and executive director of  a nascent environmental leadership organization, Resilient-Gen. I have  profound experience in community mobilization, community engagement not to mention resource mobilization. I love all things green!!

I am currently a doctoral student in the LMI SHUNT International Mixed Laboratory program on the sustainability of the hunting system in the Dahomey Gap (Benin). This is part of the collaboration between the Research Institute for Development (IRD) and the Laboratory of Applied Ecology (LEA) of the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC). I am currently doing my research on the conservation of the habitats of this hunting system. I am a research assistant at the Applied Ecology Laboratory at the University of Abomey-Calavi. Thus, from 2022 to 2023, I was a facilitator in a project to restore sacred forests in South Benin.

As an environmental conservationist, I specialize in Species Management through research and comprehensive Project/Programme Management, forging Partnerships and Collaborations to amplify conservation efforts. With a keen focus on Monitoring and Evaluation, I ensure the efficacy of strategies while integrating Livelihood, Economic, and Moral Incentives to foster sustainable practices. My expertise extends to Land and Water Management, mitigating human impact for ecological resilience. I excel in Human Resources, cultivating passionate teams, and securing resources through Fundraising to sustain conservation projects. I am currently a doctoral student at the Interdepartmental Doctoral Program in Anthropological Sciences (IDPAS) at Stony Brook University, New York State, U.S. Since June 2019, I am the coordinator of the Red Colobus Conservation Network under the Primates Specialist Group of the Species Survival Commission of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN SSC-PSG), Re:wild (https://www.rewild.org/team/florence-aghomo) and the African Primatological Society. Experienced Environmental Engineer/Consultant with a proven track record of leading successful environmental initiatives and delivering sustainable solutions. My expertise encompasses a diverse range of areas, including Baseline Studies, Environment Impact Assessments (EIA/IEE/ESIA), Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, and Environmental Conservation & Sustainability. Currently, I am making a significant impact as an Environmental Engineer/Consultant at one of the leading Environmental Consultancy, specializing in preparing comprehensive environmental study reports for clients primarily from Hamriyah Free Zone Sharjah and Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority Dubai. These reports play a crucial role in promoting environmental compliance and sustainable practices within the industry.

I'm passionate about biodiversity and primate conservation. My journey started with training at the National Zoo of Abidjan in 2014, leading to a Master's degree focusing on human-wild Campbell monkey interactions in Taï, Côte d’Ivoire. Subsequently, I joined the Taï Chimpanzee Project, conducting challenging year-long fieldwork for my PhD on wild chimpanzees' diet, physiology, and energetics. The success of this project, in collaboration with a diverse team, showcases my motivation and professionalism. Non-human primates fascinate me due to their similarities to humans and their vital role in tropical forest survival. Currently, as a teacher-researcher at the university, I emphasize flexibility in my orientations. I'm also working on a project to understand the conservation challenges posed by the expansion of the gold mining sector in my country.

I'm MUGOGO MARK with experience in wildlife tourism management , i'm an educator and a Conservationists i'm the founder and CEO of Uganda Environmental Conservationists Organization a youth lead Organization which aims to conseve Uganda's rich biodiversity , Preserve the natural resources and fight against climate change. I'm interested in educating young Pupil's in primary about Conservation work, tree planting and waste Management. I've a 3 year's experience guiding tourists , 4 year's experience doing Conservation work at Uganda Environmental Conservationists Organization.

I am a trailblazer in the fight against wildlife crime and the promotion of conservation efforts across Bangladesh and Asia. With a proven track record of over a decade, my expertise lies in wildlife trafficking prevention, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, and zoonotic disease control. In my current role as Program Coordinator for Counter Wildlife Trafficking with WPA, I lead initiatives to fortify Bangladesh's law enforcement agencies against wildlife crime. I orchestrate multi-agency collaborations, conduct training sessions, and craft strategic policies, significantly enhancing the nation's capacity to combat the illegal wildlife trade. Previously, as a Research Investigator at icddr, b, I drove impactful research endeavors in public health, particularly focusing on zoonotic diseases. I am adept at project management and ensure seamless coordination of research activities, resulting in actionable insights that inform national policy frameworks for disease prevention and control. My academic prowess, including a Ph.D. in Ecology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a DVM from Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, underscores my multidisciplinary approach to conservation challenges. My doctoral thesis on understanding wildlife trade dynamics in Bangladesh has garnered international acclaim for shedding light on critical conservation issues. Beyond academia and professional endeavors, my contributions extend to numerous publications in prestigious journals, reflecting my commitment to knowledge dissemination and evidence-based conservation practices. My active involvement in organizations like the Bangladesh Veterinary Council, the IUCN Asian Elephant Specialist Group, and Rangers Federation Asia further amplifies my impact on wildlife conservation efforts. My remarkable achievements and unwavering dedication epitomize my status as a visionary leader in wildlife conservation and public health advocacy, paving the way for a sustainable future where humans and wildlife thrive harmoniously. I am Sangay Dorji from Bhutan. I am a Conservation Biologist. 

I am Yihew Biru a researcher working as wildlife ecologist at Gullele Botanic Garden Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I do have a research and teaching experience in higher education systems and research institutions in Ethiopia. My research background is on feeding ecology and resource use overlap among different species of large mammals, human-wildlife conflict mitigations, biodiversity conservation challenges across Ethiopia and ethnozoology related topics. I am eager to acquire new concept and experiences from the team throughout the GWWC course and after.

I'm Phydias Senan Agossou, PhD student at the Institute of Geography of the University of Bern in Switzerland. I had a Bachelor and a Master degree, both in management of natural resources in my home country, Benin. Actually my PhD is focused on landscape connectivity in agricultural landscape of Benin. As it involve a good numbers of field related to ecology conservation, GIS, Species Distribution Modelling, this community is the best to help me aware about what is been doing in the scientist world. My expectation joining this Hub is then to gain knowledge from other from one hand and to share my experience with them through my ongoing PhD thesis  and to build a solid scientists network necessary for my career from another hand.
