I hold an MSc in Conservation Biology from the University of Cape Town, under the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology. My project was about quantifying raptor abundance trends in Botswana, through raptor road surveys. I drove 26000 km observing and recording any raptors, perching or flying. This infused my passion for nature and wildlife protection and conservation, as I gained experience in handling live birds such as vultures, eagles etc. My interests include bird ringing, outdoor camping, hiking, and going out for picnics. I am currently a researcher for a Honeyguide-Human mutualism investigation project in northern Botswana. I am also training to become a qualified bird ringer.

Mr. Paudel currently serves as a senior program manager at Bird Conservation Nepal. He has over fourteen years of experience in bird and biodiversity conservation, fundraising, project planning and implementation, and engaging with local communities to safeguard threatened bird species.

I am a passionate conservation practitioner, originally from Fiji.  I am a trained coral reef ecologist with practical knowledge and experience in applied fisheries, resources management, stakeholder engagement, training and outreach, social sciences, gender, disability and social inclusion and coral reef conservation. I have worked for over a decade in various projects and with stakeholders in the Pacific. More recently, I switched jobs to work more on focused coral reef research and have started to engage more with international stakeholders in Southeast Asia. The new job also allowed me to engage more closely with projects that focus on Indigenous communities and local people in Australia and the Pacific region.  

As a graduate of Environmental Science, my background equips me with the requisite skills in hydrology, ecology, Wildlife Management, Environmental Impact Assessment among other fields. My skillset includes but not limited to; Communication skills, Teamwork, Knowledge Sharing, Critical Thinking, Problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. In my current role as an Assistant Environmentalist at Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), I have been actively involved in environmental monitoring and auditing, developing and implementing environmental management systems, and interpreting field requirements. My responsibilities also include generating environmental progress reports and ensuring compliance with environmental standards, which have equipped me with a solid understanding of field methods and diagnostic tools. I am also committed to professional excellence and continuous learning, as evidenced by my participation in several professional training programs, including workshops on Integrated Water Resources Management and GIS fundamentals. Why WildHub? It is a free to join platform is an enabler for conservation activities and ideas that are otherwise not realised in our day to day work. It also provides opportunities for teamwork in conservation as you interact with like-minded environmental champions through trainings, conservation activities and even through job opportunities

Since July 2025, I have been serving as the Community Advocates Coordinator at WildHub, where I coordinate initiatives to engage, support, and empower our community advocates in advancing WH’s mission. Beyond WildHub, I wear a few different hats. I work as a researcher and lecturer in Sweden, teaching courses on environmental law, political and historical ecology, and disaster management. I also mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, collaborate with faculty members, and contribute to ongoing research projects. I’m passionate about giving back through volunteer work. I support a few conservation and animal welfare organisations with research and advocacy to help drive positive change. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking forest trails with my dog or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I am a volunteer of one of the Wildlife Trust branches' local action youth forum, and in 2023 I worked as an Education and Community Engagement Officer for one of their local nature reserves, as part of a paid internship. I love wildlife and am deeply interested in helping people connect to nature for conservation and well-being. I seek a future role in the conservation and wildlife sector, and as grant writing is a vital skill for this sector, I decided to sign up to WildTeam for the Grant Writing for Wildlife Conservation course. I enjoyed the course so much, that I am continuing with the WildTeam's courses, starting with Project Planning for Wildlife Conservation.  I am currently finishing my viva corrections edits for my MSc Research degree in Biological Sciences at Bangor University, where I am researching variation in the vertebral column of rhesus macaques. I love primates, my favourite being lemurs, and I hope to see them someday in Madagascar. I also love writing and hope to publish a novel one day. My preferred writing genres are fantasy and sci-fi (with a little nature thrown in too). 

I hold a postgraduate diploma from the University of Oxford, specializing in carnivore and human-wildlife research through WildCRU. My experience includes camera trapping and using AI for data analysis and species identification. I am actively seeking conservation job and research opportunities, as well as pursuing an MSc or PhD in conservation. I am passionate about becoming a conservation leader and am particularly interested in mentoring young people and women in the field.

I have a Master's in Maritime Resource Management and a Higher Specialized Diploma in Applied Oceanography from the University of Quebec at Rimouski. I recently worked as a marine ecosystems Coordinator at Novarium in Rimouski. I have experience in project management and animation of a marine innovation community. I have skills in project management, endangered species, and water resource management. I am also good at analyzing water resource policies. I want to help people understand marine ecosystems better and work with others in conservation. I look forward to talking with you and helping us achieve our goals!

I am a dedicated marine and freshwater biologist currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on wildlife conservation and sustainable fishing practices. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in understanding the complexities of marine ecosystems and the challenges they face. I completed my MSc with a thesis on the West African Manatee (T. Senegalensis), where I investigated the mechanisms of bycatch through different gillnet configurations. This study not only mimicked the daily fishing activities of local fishers but also provided valuable insights into the interactions between manatees and fishing gear. My findings revealed new species involved in bycatch, as well as the primary causes of fish damage, ultimately suggesting the best gillnet configurations to minimize bycatch. In my PhD program, I am expanding my research to identify and map bycatch sites along the coast of Cameroon. My current projects include analyzing various pollutants found in sharks and rays, understanding the effects of these pollutants on the health and genetics of these species, and determining their age to better comprehend their life cycles and conservation needs. I am passionate about reducing bycatch and promoting sustainable fishing practices. As part of my conservation activities, I will be training local fishermen on best releasesing practices, which involve techniques to safely release life bycatch back into the water, and educating them on how to effectively use GPS technology to monitor and manage their fishing activities. I believe that community engagement is crucial for successful conservation efforts. I invite community members and local stakeholders to join me in these important initiatives. I am Arefine. I am an anchor & reciter. In between my studies in zoology, I am involved in extra curricular activities. I focus on field studies since my undergraduate studies. Field study alone and observing became my addiction. Photography was also added to this addiction. Although watching nature, observing animals is my passion, the thought of working on a specific subject did not come to my mind. After that, I started working at the marginal level with snakebite patients during the Corona period. Then I chose calligraphy as a means of awareness to reach people quickly. Although I did not give priority to online then, I later built my organization called Kundali Foundation. Under the banner of this organization, i started the work of conveying the message of awareness to people called 'Be Aware Of Snake'.   I was able to deliver my message to 495 upazilas of Bangladesh. The war is still going on because the fear of snakes has not died down among people.
