I'm Liane, and I am a WildLearning Specialist at WildTeam! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! For the last few years, I've been working in Seychelles, focusing on island and marine conservation efforts, particularly coral restoration and turtle nesting monitoring. If you ask me questions about coral, be prepared for me to get very nerdy about it! Prior to that, I was managing a project in Northern Thailand, where I worked closely with a local community to set up ethical elephant experiences in their village. In my free time, I love running and hiking, and being anywhere in nature. I have also learnt to freedive in the last few years and enjoy doing that when possible. I'm really interested in talking to different people and learning from them and their unique experiences.

I am Opeyemi Blessing OYAWALE, a first-class wildlife and ecotourism management graduate from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, fueled by a deep passion for wildlife research and conservation consultancy. My academic journey has been a quest to understand and contribute to the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. With a firm foundation in wildlife and ecotourism management, I am on a dedicated path towards becoming a wildlife researcher and consultant. Motivated by my curiosity to explore the complex lives of wildlife, I want to establish a name for myself as a researcher and provide accurate evaluation for conservation initiatives. In addition, my goal is to provide sustainable practice consultations that help close the gap between human activity and the health of the various ecosystems on our planet. I'm continually looking for scholarship opportunities to further my education overseas as part of my quest for excellence. By doing this, I hope to improve my perspectives on the world, my knowledge, and my abilities, positioning myself to have a bigger influence in the field of wildlife research and conservation. My vision includes promoting responsible wildlife management, becoming a catalyst for positive change, and encouraging peaceful cohabitation between people and the natural world. Cleo has an M.Sc. in Applied Animal Behaviour & Animal Welfare from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh) and a B.Sc. in Animal Biology from Stirling University (UK). She has extensive experience in assisting and managing complex research projects for multiple research institutes and private laboratories. She has built up a strong technical background in the South African Bushveld deciphering wild animal behaviour and bio-acoustics, in cancer research and behind an electron microscope looking for a link between positive animal welfare practices and the abundance of microglia (the brain’s primary innate immune cells).

I am a Wildlife Conservation Scientist, Environmental Educator, and Science Communicator based in Mumbai, India. I am currently a Project Fellow at WCB Research Foundation where I’m involved in sloth bear research, and Director of Media and Comms. for SOLARIS TRAIL CAMERAS, Brisbane.  I completed my Masters of Conservation Science from the University of Queensland and worked on projects involving the conservation and ecology of wild cats, environment awareness campaigns with a Mumbai-based NGO, and science communication. My interests include but are not limited to community-based biodiversity conservation, large mammal ecology, and raising environmental awareness. I enjoy the outdoors, especially birding, photography, hiking, and digital illustration. I joined WildHub to interact with like-minded folk in the field of Wildlife Conservation across the globe. I hope to participate in much needed Conservation conversation and figure out ways to better safeguard our wildlife and the planet.

My area of interest in primate behaviors, not only because I have a background in zoology and conservation but also as someone who spent most of my time with primates. Moreover, I have some skills related to people vs wildlife conflict around PAs. currently, I'm working as a research assistant in mountain gorilla behavior data collection at Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund | Rwanda.

I hold a MSc. Degree in Biological Anthropology specializing in Primatology.I am interested in working on Primates and Conservation. I am also interested in Conservation education.

Uchenna is a Chartered Environmentalist, University Lecturer and on secondment to IFAD-funded LivelihoodImprovement Family Enterprises – Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) Project as Abia State Project Coordinator, a board oftrustee-member of Future Generation University, USA; Chairman - Abia State Chapter of Nigerian Environmental Society (NES); with a doctoral degree in environmental forest ecology. He has over 20 peer-reviewed academic publications, and an international development professional with over 22 years and hasworked at least once in each Nigerian state as an Independent Development Consultant. Also, he hasprovided development consultancy services in India, Nepal, United States of America, Rwanda, Cameroon,United Kingdom and Namibia. Recently, he participated as the Nigerian representative in a-global research titled ‘Developing indicators of Peace’,  piloted by Future Generations University in collaboration with the United States Institute of Peace. Uchenna’s skills include an in-depth understanding of community working systems in developing countries;linking policy analysis and emerging issues to plans; understanding of pro-poor and gender issues indevelopment, an excellent team player, good interpersonal, report writing and communication skills.

As a promoter of culture and diversity, Gerald Nkusi is a travel ecopreneur with Adventure Afrika and founder of Home of Kigezi (a Museum of Living Culture and Natural History), Nkunga Eco Village, and the Food Forest Africa movement. His roots and home are in Kisoro, a part of the Kigezi region in Uganda. Starting as a waiter trading long nights of work for education at the famous Makerere University 2006 and a US Exchange Alumni-IVLP 2017, he has transformed into a local and global actor in the cultural heritage and conservation space. Gerald's Food Forest Africa movement is revolutionizing the use of small and waste spaces for food, health, education and environment to help counter food insecurity, poor nutrition, and the degradation of natural resources. 

I am highly skilled and dedicated professional with a strong background in wildlife care and a wide range of training in a Animal husbandry ,farming and Animal behaviour .i have a passion for working with wildlife and deep understanding of their unique needs and behaviours .with extensive knowledge and hands on experience ,I am committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring the well being of animals under my supervision.

Am an enthusiastic conservation Biologist at early stage of my career. I have been involved in social-ecology including conservation education campaign targeted at young kids over the years as a resulting of working with Better Earth Foundation. I have conducted scientific research around human utilization of wildlife resources around conflict environment.  In addition, i have passion for ornithology, plant and animal interaction as well as vegetation assessment. Am a member of Jos Bird club, Nigeria bird Atlas project (NiBAP),  as well as alumni of APLORI and TBA scientific writing and publication.

I am Diana a Conservation  Educator at Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre - Entebbe Zoo. My major work there  is communicating  Conservation Education through photography, videos ,recorded audios. and writing story pieces. My professional background is in Mass communication majoring in Journalism but with passion in Environment,Climate change and wildlife issues - That's why most of my stories will always rotate around those 3 subjects. I am also and adventurous person who loves exploring new interesting places, and more so if there's something for me to learn.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in forestry and wildlife management, a master’s degree in Conservation Biology, and a Ph.D. in Ecological Sciences from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the biology department at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I am a passionate conservation biologist and educator. My work focuses on fostering community participation and inclusiveness in conservation efforts. With a deep love for nature and a commitment to research and fieldwork, I specialize in conducting behavioural studies that contribute to understanding the intricate relationships between biodiversity and their environments. My research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including plant and animal interactions, urban birds, land use changes, and recently an interest in the human dimension of conservation. My commitment extends beyond research and academic responsibilities, as I find fulfilment in coaching and mentoring youth, advocating for access, diversity, equity and inclusion in academia and conservation.
