Hi! My name is Fay and I'm a budding chiropterologist. I've been researching bats since my postgraduate degree in 2016. I have worked for both conservation NGOs and ecological consultancies in Mauritius, Malawi and the UK. Now I am studying towards my PhD at Kyoto University where my research focuses on one of the lesser known endemic species, Myotis pruinosus.

 I am Amani Ngoma. I am a MSc student in Computer Science at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Sunderland. I work in the Garamba National Park's Tech Team, and I am in charge of IoT integration, GIS and Security.  I have 10+ years career in Conservation Technology and I love implementing solutions for conservation. My historical records include conservation leadership, data analysis, GIS, telemetry, forensic and programming.

I specialise in communications and marketing for environmental charities, making ordinary people give a damn about and engage in environmental stories and campaigns - fuelling action and creating change. I work for an agency called more onion that helps progressive charities and non-profits have more impact through campaigns, fundraising and/or supporter engagement. My I love working with animal/environmental charities, as this is the area I'm most passionate about. I've worked for WWF, Greenpeace & Surfers Against Sewage, as well as grassroots organisations. As I'm neurodivergent, disabled, a carer and from a working class background, I'm passionate about making sure projects and campaigns are as inclusive as possible - we need everyone to change the world on the scale needed. Studying an MA in Anthrozoology part-time at Exeter (remote). My final project is studying vocalisations of critically endangered captive Javan Green Magpies and how we can use bioacoustics to inform welfare and understanding. Primate fan, but now falling in love with song birds. I have a BSc in Biology from St Andrews and won an Undergraduate Award for my genetics research. I live in the UK. I run our fundraising scheme and outreach project, Adopt a Dolphin for children and young people. We visit schools and groups with materials that I have developed and I am currently creating our very first ecourse. Whilst running the scheme, I wrote a children's book, The Magic Dolphin and a subsequent colouring-in story book, Dolphin Doodling, both of which are used within schools.  Every month I produce an 8-10 page newsletter, Newsplash which is full of educational content, competitions, national and international marine news, fun features and more.

I am a Conservation Biologist actively looking for a job. Protecting wildlife is what drives me. I dedicated a large portion of my life learning about Conservation Biology and working as a volunteer in order to help non-profit organisations save habitats and threatened species. I've worked in the field and in the office with various people of various backgrounds. I've done surveys, monitoring, risk assessments, public engagement, woodland and grassland management, and GIS analysis and mapping. I'm specialised in birds, however, the work that I've done also involved other groups like amphibians, reptiles, mammals (rodents and bats) and plants. I'm actively looking for an opportunity to use my skills for nature conservation and/or to educate the public about wildlife and its importance.
