The poll was interesting. At work, we have many status/update meetings on all sorts of things related to our work. I estimated it is likely around 40-60 but may be more and that we truly only need something like 20-40. Our current leader agrees with this approach and has actively worked to reduce the length and number of staff meetings.
At Biocultural Conservation Institute, the nonprofit where I volunteer, we typically hold monthly meetings, but we could actually do with more meetings. The reason is that we are a volunteer-only organization, and the accountability of more frequent meetings would help people stay on track with their tasks. I responded to the poll from this perspective.Β
At our organization we do have quarterly meetings for management and an annual meeting for the whole team. I think the number of meetings we have are way less and we might do with more meetings, especially for the Junior team, quarterly meetings would be useful as rhino conservation is sensitive and needs adaptive management on the go.
at our organization we do have managed monthly meetings plus the annual one and feels they are less more meetings need to be done.Β
This is similar to what we use and do during meetings in my previous work. This was eye opening in terms of seeing that the same template can be used elsewhere. Thank you.
