Hi Uchenna, welcome to Adelaide, I hope it's not too cold there. It's great to connect. I'm keen to learn more about your background and interests.
Hi Mateusz. It is really cold and windy here. It’s great to connect too. I started my career as a wildlife vet at CERCOPAN calabar Nigeria where I did preventive medication, foster care and oversaw a release project. I have a general project management training(PMP) and a wildlife project management training from wild hub. I have had several wildlife gigs since my 22 years of practice including Hamadryas/human conflict reduction efforts in Saudi Arabia, a little bit of assistance to Dr Lynne Baker in sclatters conservation in akpugoeze in enugu state Nigeria.
I enjoy conservation education given my background in wildlife veterinary medicine and experience.
I make a great team member and will love to be contributing positively to conservation efforts in Australia. I love to travel and meet new people and cultures.
That's fascinating Uche, the wildlife side interests me mostly because I've never done much work in that area - my background is in protected area management, community development and land use planning. It's a privilege that you can get up close and personal to the wildlife us planners are protecting from a distance. I'm sure you'll find plenty of wildlife work around Adelaide, particularly if you are willing to travel a bit.
Welcome down under. Connecting with conservation people in Adelaide should not be a problem for you. I am sure you will figure out something related to conservation very soon. Happy that you have reached Australia just that I am a bit far (Armidale, NSW). Hope we will cross path some day since our subject is similar. Good Luck.
Jigme
Thank you Jigme. You can always point me to any contact you know around SA. Hope to see you someday too. Thank you.
