Hi! My name is Amanda. I earned a BS in Wildlife Research and Management from UW Stevens Point (Wisconsin, USA)  My work “in the field” has been as an animal care intern with The Wildcat Sanctuary (MN, USA), a research tech intern studying Common Murre (AK Peninsula/Becharof NWR), and a research tech studying Caspian Terns (OR, USA). I took a break from a science career and focused on raising a family, during which we moved to London, UK! I always enjoy talking with friends and neighbours about animal and plant ID, and the way the natural world is all connected. After more than a decade, I’m hoping to get involved in the wildlife/environment conservation sector once again. I hope by joining the wildhub community to reintroduce myself with the current events, concerns, and innovations that professionals are working with. And also keeping an eye out for the potential job opportunities that may be shared!

I am a wildlife and conservation enthusiast. My degree is BS Wildlife Research and Management, minor in Biology and Captive Wildlife from UW Stevens Point. I took a break from my career to focus on raising family, during which we moved from WI USA to London England. While I am interested in finding a position in the field, I am also interested in learning about the current issues, technology, research, and innovative solutions in wildlife conservation and habitat management.

What kind of jobs are you looking for?
