I am a Research Lead at the Toronto Zoo, in Toronto Ontario Canada. Specifically, I am part of the Bat Conservation Program and I am leading a conservation project in Northern Ontario. I joined WildHub to gain more insight into Project Management, that I hope I will be able to apply to my current role in conservation. I enjoy any opportunities available that help me to network, learn and grow. Look forward to what is to come!

A warm welcome to WildHub, Alannah! Wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing about your background.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of opportunities (e.g. knowledge, connections) are you looking for, outside of strengthening your project management skills even further?

I would recommend having a look at our upcoming WildHub socials (information here ) - it's a great way of sharing knowledge and getting to know each other in our WildHub community.

Thirza, as mentioned in my introduction post I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge in project management. I have never taken a training course with WildHub so I have limited knowledge as to what it can offer. I am managing a project in my current role so this course should be applicable to my role and once it gets underway I will have a better idea as to what it can offer. Further, I also mentioned that networking is important in conservation and building new connections is always something I am eager to do. Hopefully this follow-up reinforced what opportunities I am hoping to gain. Thanks!

Hi Alannah, thanks for your response. In terms of networking, there are some opportunities to actively network within our community by joining our Conservation Catalyst programme or becoming a WildHub Community Advocate. If any of these opportunities is of interest to you, please feel free to reach me at hello@wildhub.community Thanks!

Am happy you have interest in our project management program, it surly will be of help in your current work. We also have other training opportunities such as project planning, Stakeholder engagement and grant writing for wildlife conservation.  I encourage you to also add that to your to-do list.
