Learn skills to protect and manage wetlands worldwide
I am really pleased to share that a new global course from the Wetland Learning Hub, Wetland Ecosystems – Conservation and Sustainable Management, will begin on 18th May 2026.
This is a fully online, self‑paced course designed for anyone looking to build internationally recognised skills in wetland conservation and management. It brings together expert insights from wetland specialists around the world, alongside practical, real‑world case studies from a wide range of regions and wetland types.
Participants will explore:
- Different wetland types and their ecological functions
- The importance of wetlands for biodiversity and human communities
- Approaches to conservation, monitoring and sustainable management
- Stakeholder engagement and awareness‑raising strategies
The course also includes live seminars, interactive activities, collaborative workspaces, and the chance to join the Wetland Learning Hub alumni community. On completion, participants receive a certificate and develop skills aligned with the Ramsar Convention’s global objectives for wetland conservation.
If you are working (or hoping to work) in conservation, policy, education, or are simply passionate about wetlands, this course could be a great fit.
