Opportunity for Indian Conservationists: Free Course on Social Science Methods for Collaborative Decision Making in Conservation
Nature Conservation Foundation is offering a free, five-day course on Social Science Methods for Collaborative Decision Making, happening in Bengaluru from February 23–27, 2026.
Doing biodiversity conservation well means making tough decisions, often in collaboration with peers, Indigenous Peoples and local communities. Those decisions, and how they are made, can unevenly affect both people and the rest of nature. In this course, you'll learn social science methods to identify who needs to be included in decision making processes, and how to design and facilitate those processes for more collaborative, equitable, and effective conservation.
The course will be taught by experts Daniel J. Read and Arundhati Jagadish at NCF’s Bengaluru satellite office.
