Hi there! Passionate about nature and words, I decided to become a wildlife and environment news writer. I'm published currently in Greenauve, but I hope soon to bring my voice to more media outlets. I'm also an editor, content creator, and I volunteer wherever I can help (currently with Wildya), especially when it comes to wildlife. I'm here to learn more from the amazing initiatives that exists around the world and get inspirations for news articles. If you have a brilliant idea, a wild project or research paper that you think might be of my interests, feel free to reach out! i'm also looking at expanding my list of experts to get insights from and feature in my articles.

I am an ecologist working in the field of biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration. My work involves planning and supervising restoration interventions across diverse ecosystems, including forests, grasslands, wetlands, savannas, and reed beds. I focus on site-based approaches such as invasive species removal, soil and vegetation monitoring, and implementing ecotype-specific planting strategies.
My academic and field experience spans a range of ecological themes, including ecotoxicology, soil ecology, water quality, plant invasion, plant metabolites, and palynology. I’m particularly interested in understanding how these components influence ecosystem recovery and using that knowledge to guide practical, context-driven restoration efforts.
Currently, I am engaged in a large-scale ecological restoration project with Auroville Botanical Services in Pune, India, where I’m closely involved in site execution and ecological supervision.
I’m Anya Dabite, a conservationist and researcher from Cameroon with experience in elephant monitoring using camera traps, mangrove restoration, and training youth and women in conservation leadership. I joined WildHub to engage with a global network of conservation professionals, exchange practical knowledge, and explore collaborative solutions for community-led conservation, environmental education, and climate resilience. I believe in empowering local voices and building capacity to drive sustainable change from the ground up.
I am currently trying to get back into the conservation world but struggling to find any openings.
I am a Zoology graduate and focused on pollinator abundance and diversity along an urban gradient from the CBD to the agricultural outskirts of Leeds.
I have also spent time in Madagascar volunteering for a charity called SEED. During this time I undertook three daily surveys from transect walks as well as planting trees corridors to connect the multiplying forest fragments and sorting through guano, examining the seed species.
My most recent action for conservation was through a more creative side. I created a pop-up book concerning the rewilding of beavers into the UK. This was a way to encourage children and other tactile people to think and care about UK wildlife and the drastic effect one species can have on an ecosystem through trophic Cascades. This book included interactive tabs, fun vibrant characters and soft materials to engage the reader.

Hello everyone
My name is Nyamni Bless Gur from Cameroon. Passionate about protecting wildlife and restoring habitats, I work on the ground to monitor and assess great apes population and the threats they face, particularly the Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees and the Cross River Gorillas. I'm also passionate about conserving forests, and engaging local communities in our conservation efforts. I believe community based conservation practice is vital for a successful long-term management of these species.
I am an aspiring conservationist, with a deep passion for insular environments, and an interest in both terrestrial and marine animals. I have a strong background in fisheries, with a focus on bycatch of vulnerable species, and I am experienced in species ID and animal husbundry.
I just finished a placement as a research assistant for the Italian Research Council working on sustainable fisheries, but I am ready to jump back into hands-on conservation and I am soon starting a new internship in an island sanctuary in Seychelles.
I have worked with several species: 🦈🐬🐠🪸🦇🐢🦀🦋🦞🐋🦔🦊🦉🦆 In 6 different countries: 🇮🇹🇨🇾🇫🇷🇵🇹🇧🇪🇸🇨 And I can't wait to learn and explore even more, all while meeting fellow conservationists thanks to this amazing platform! :)
A chartered accountant who trained in audit, accounts and tax preparation and now works carries out a blended role in communications, policy and finance to support beaver restoration in Britain.
I was born and raised in Switzerland, where I spent the first 39 years of my life living what many would consider a typical, privileged Swiss lifestyle – a good job, a successful career, financial stability, and plenty of material comfort. But a few years ago, I came to a life-changing realisation: despite having everything I was "supposed" to want, I wasn’t truly happy. I felt something was missing – a sense of purpose and a life lived in alignment with my heart.
Nature and safaris had always been a passion of mine, so I decided to take a leap of faith and follow that inner calling. I took a year off and enrolled in a professional field guide course in South Africa, with placements in Botswana and Zambia. I worked with children and communities in conservation education, capacity building, and research – and absolutely loved it. When the course ended, I knew I couldn’t go back to my old life in Switzerland. I had found not only my purpose, but also the love of my life – and a deep connection to Africa.
By chance, I discovered an opportunity at Sensing Clues, and after speaking with Jan-Kees, I realised it was the perfect bridge between my past experience and future goals. Today, I’m working part-time as an Impact Facilitator at Sensing Clues, where I manage marketing, communications, community engagement, and partnerships. Alongside this, I also help co-manage Kusasa, a donor lodge run by the Wild Tomorrow Fund, located in the heart of the stunning Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa – where I’m now living.
I joined WildHub because I truly believe in collaboration. At Sensing Clues, we work closely with passionate individuals from around the world to co-create innovative, volunteer-driven solutions for conservation. I’m here to connect with like-minded people, exchange knowledge, and share work opportunities to create a bigger, longer-lasting impact – together and beyond the front lines. We’ll soon be launching free online events through Sensing Clues, and I’d love to share them with this community – so that passionate individuals can learn, contribute, and get involved in meaningful ways. I also hope to share the practical knowledge and insights I gained in the bush while training and working as a guide.
I’m always looking to grow, explore new ideas, and keep learning. True to my motto – "Driven by purpose, guided by heart" – I believe that a meaningful life begins with passion, purpose, and connection.
