I am a conservationist based in Nepal. I did my MSc in Conservation and International Wildlife Trade from DICE-Kent. I am currently working to understand the trade dynamics of some of the most traded medicinal plants like orchids and yews. I am interested in understanding how socioeconomic and behavioral factors interact and impact the wildlife trade (incl. the online trade spectrum and various stakeholders in it) and using this knowledge in designing effective conservation actions. 

I have particular interest in conservation and behavioural ecology with experience in tropical rainforests of Indonesia. Currently I work for an ngo connecting the social sciences knowledge with conservation and I've been learning a lot through it. Besides my endless love for primates, snakes and crocs, I am keen about marine biology also and have some work experience working in the Philippines in the past.

 I am an Ecologist by training. My research interests have focused on : Relations between protected areas and local communities; Wildlife conservation; Community Building; Environmental governance ; Conflict management ; Climate change.

Silto Jaime Cristóvão is a Biodiversity Conservation Specialist and Environmental Activist. He has a degree in Biology teaching with habilitations in Chemistry teaching from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the Pedagogical University of Mozambique (UP-FCNM). Currently he is a Master candidate in Geographic Information Systems and Natural Resources Monitoring at the Catholic University of Mozambique, Faculty of Economics and Management (UCM-FEG), Beira, Sofala and Master candidate in Territorial Planning and Biodiversity Conservation from Zambezi University, Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Natural Resources (UZ-FEARN), Chimoio, Manica. He is also a candidate for a Professional Driver's License. Mr Cristóvão worked as Coordinator of SMART (Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool), Biodiversity Survey and Monitoring in Niassa Lion Project or Niassa Carnivores Project, a Biodiversity Conservation and Environment Protection company based in Niassa Special Reserve. Has experience in biodiversity research, especially carnivores, having participated in the last carnivore research call up edition, in the Niassa Special Reserve in 2018. He also worked as a Research Officer for the Wildlife Conservation Society Mozambique, a non-profit organization that manages the Niassa Special Reserve in partnership with the Government of Mozambique through the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC). Silto Jaime Cristóvão has a wide experience in Natural Resources Monitoring, Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Protection acting as Conservation Biologist. He has taught Biology and Chemistry and has experience in the areas of Journalism and Radio Broadcasting with emphasis on radio journalism and voice-over. Hello! I'm Katie and I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam. I help to deliver a number of workshops with WildTeam, including the Project Management for Wildlife Conservation course. I love meeting course participants from all over the world, and learning about the amazing projects that they are working on or would like to in the future.  I am also working as a postdoctoral researcher at Bournemouth University, as a continuation of my PhD project which focussed on African elephant conservation. I've been lucky enough to travel to lots of places for my work and engage with a range of stakeholders. I work for a marine science & conservation non-profit studying species and habitats in the Salish Sea and beyond. Much of our work involves looks at how anthropogenic impacts like vessel traffic and underwater noise change the behavior of threatened populations such as southern resident killer whales. Other topics we work on include cetacean distribution and habitat use, the estimated effects of deep sea mining, salmon preservation, and habitat restoration. I have skills in GIS, R, and ecological modeling. I am most interested in research involving spatial data, oceanography, and marine vertebrate behavior. I previously worked on field projects studying cetaceans in British Columbia and sea turtles in Costa Rica, the US, and Australia. I completed an MRes in Marine Biology at the University of Plymouth where I used density surface models to assess the distribution and abundance of harbour porpoises around the UK.

I'm from Badajoz, a little city near Portugal at Extremadura, Spain. I love my region because is plenty of wild nature, birds, forests, rivers... but is endangered too. I have a BSc in Biology and a MSc in Biodiversity Conservation. I have more than 15 years of experience in Environmental Education with school kids and the general public. I'm interested in all related topics about ecology, conservation and all living creatures and their relationships, that makes possible the life on Earth.  I have worked in Paraguay granted by University of Salamanca and UNESCO Chair "Education for Sustainable Development: Strengthening lines of research in the area of ​​biodiversity and the link with society". My duties were teaching experiments design and basic biostatistics at UNA (Universidad Nacional de Asunción); doing a biodiversity's bird research at the San Rafael National Park (the major Atlantic Forest patch remaining), ringing birds and teaching young students how to carry out a basic research; and doing environmental education with young child and population living at the natural park influence area.  I stayed at Madeira (Portugal) working on two LIFE projects, one to protect the endemic sparrowhawk "Furabardos" and the other to take care of marine birds. The LIFE projects are the UE tool to support and fund the conservation on their territories.   Later I have devoted to natural ecotourism at Extremadura (Spain) and scuba diving tourism at Sharm el Shaik (Egypt), in addition to environmental education, or little research and consultancy tasks. I have a  youtube channel  to outreach environmental issues and my own talks. Is in Spanish, but if you want you could take a look at it.  Currently, I have a job at an environmental consulting at Extremadura (Spain), working about the compensatory measures to take during and after the construction of photovoltaic plants. I take care of bird nests, mitigation and prevention of bird and bat mortality at the high voltage lines, soil restoration, reforestation, etc. I'm glad to carry out this work because I'm sure I'm doing the best to protect the nature while the construction of renewable energy plants are trying to reduce the climate change.  In addition, I take part from two NGOs: Fauna&Vida, a environmental conservation and education organization from Paraguay, where I'm currently the Education and conservation programs Director, and SEO/BirdLife, the ornithological society to protect birds, where I coordinate the volunteer group in my city. 

I am Theodore Nshimiyumuremyi, a graduate of Zoology and conservation from University of Rwanda. I am currently working as Community Extension Officer Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOSNetwork). I am highly interested in community outreach and development. I stand for fair and equitable interaction of nature and people.

I am a passionate individual dedicated to ensuring wildlife and wild places are here for years to come in an equitable and sustainable way. An animal lover all my life, it made sense that I would pursue a career focused on the wellbeing and conservation of wildlife. Once I obtained my B.S. in Animal Science, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama to work at the Birmingham Zoo with African mammals. During my time as a zookeeper, I focused much of my energy on educating the public by communicating information to generate understanding and create compassionate attitudes for endangered wildlife and conservation priorities. My natural ability to make connections with people led me to use my time to engage the public and coordinate partner priorities as the Operations Manager for the Global Conservation Corps where I worked both individually and as a team to increase support conservation education and boots-on-the-ground efforts. Additionally, I also acted as the Bowling For Rhinos Communication Liaison with the American Association of Zookeepers where I coordinated communication and connections with field conservationists and zoo professionals. Recently I returned home to Columbus, Ohio to focus on completing my Master’s degree in Conservation Biology through Miami University of Ohio’s Project Dragonfly studying attitudes and participation in conservation while also coordinating collaborative conservation initiatives with university professors, zookeepers, and community members.

I am interested in becoming a Wildlife Conservationist, researching wild mammal behaviour out in the field. I have a degree in Biological Sciences, Trained with London Wildlife Trust for 3 months, completed Project Management for Wildlife Conservationists course with WildLearning, volunteered and interned at Colchester Zoo, volunteered at Wildlife sense as a Field Researcher for turtles, and managed two successful fundraising projects. I'm currently looking for any field experience I can get with mammals, whether that be in Kent, England or internationally.

Right now, my main focus is my work with AimHi Earth, the education-to-action organisation on a mission to equip people and organisations with the essential understanding, skills and ideas needed to overcome the climate and nature crisis and ensure a healthier, fairer, more prosperous future.

My name is Alan D. Kaminski I live and work in Argentina, for more than 12 years I have dedicated myself to research and work in the area of ​​ethology (dogs). The places where I worked were several and I met science from a very young age through the Bernardino Rivadavia Natural Science Museum, I also worked in Hospitals with the problem of domestic animals within them, in Zoonosis Institutes of various departments working with aggressive animals and conduct disorders, collaborate and work for the Jane Goodall based in Argentina doing etogram of elephants. Currently I am dedicated to population control of dogs, and how their activities interact with wildlife. The work consists of not mistreating any animal and evaluating all the possibilities that we have to be able to have an ethical management of the situation. My interests are work in the field, as well as research and dissemination of science and social work.

I have recently graduated from DICE with an MSc in Conservation Biology. I have a particular interest in the conservation of herpetofauna and carried out research in the UK on slow-worm use of refugia for my MSc dissertation and I also worked in Jersey looking at agile frog habitat suitability. I have a background in local government technology and project management and currently work in this field.
