About David nikisi
I began my conservation journey as a community scout on a private conservancy run by Biocarbon Partners under the Lower Zambezi REDD+ Project. My role as a community scout was generally to enforce anti - poaching laws and rules that govern a REDD+ project.
It is from here that I rose through the ranks to the role of a conservation assistant under the Luangwa Community Forest Project. My role now, generally involves coordinating and facilitating ground patrol teams, aerial surveys, breach verifications and stakeholder engagement.
It is interesting to note the impact these projects have had not only on Biodiversity but also on communities where these project are base.
