Currently, I am making a significant impact as an Environmental Engineer/Consultant at one of the leading Environmental Consultancy, specializing in preparing comprehensive environmental study reports for clients primarily from Hamriyah Free Zone Sharjah and Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority Dubai. These reports play a crucial role in promoting environmental compliance and sustainable practices within the industry.
I’m Asmita Ranapaheli, a passionate turtle researcher with a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environment from Tribhuvan University. My work is driven by a belief that conservation thrives on collaboration. By uniting diverse voices and expertise, we can create innovative, sustainable solutions to protect habitats, empower communities, and safeguard endangered species.
In addition to my research, I run Respite, a YouTube channel where I bring the wonders of wildlife, plants, and zoology to a wider audience. Through captivating and accessible content, I aim to inspire curiosity, foster a deeper connection with nature, and highlight the urgent need for biodiversity conservation in an increasingly fragile world.
I was born in Kenya and have lived i the UK for 42 years now. My many years of working with small businesses and running various events to raise the profile of the businesses, has landed me a post for fundraiser Trustee for a UK wildlife Hospital. The founders of the hospital are very seasoned friends of mine and their dedication to saving every wildlife animal bird that comes through their door, is simply inspirational.
Therefore, I want to learn more about writing funding applications and grant applications. I also want to share my experiences of what has worked for us and what has not. Hopefully, we can all become better at doing what we do, through skill sharing.
Hi wild team my name is Cyprian Chisi, and I am excited to join this vibrant network of conservation professionals. I have just completed my BSc degree in Natural Resource Management (Wildlife & Ecotourism), from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, i also hold a Diploma in Environmental Management. i specialised in wildlife management, GIS and Remote sensing, Research,Biodiversity conservation, ornithology, ecosystem managment, watershed and wetland management, eco tourism planing, environmental education, population ecology and sustainable land mangement.
I expect to connect with experts, professionals and mentors here at WildHub and this will help me to find more opportunities in conservation journey like partnerships, funding, scholarships, learning, internships and leadership development as well as job opportunities.

For the last few years, I've been working in Seychelles, focusing on island and marine conservation efforts, particularly coral restoration and turtle nesting monitoring. If you ask me questions about coral, be prepared for me to get very nerdy about it! Prior to that, I was managing a project in Northern Thailand, where I worked closely with a local community to set up ethical elephant experiences in their village.
In my free time, I love running and hiking, and being anywhere in nature. I have also learnt to freedive in the last few years and enjoy doing that when possible. I'm really interested in talking to different people and learning from them and their unique experiences.
I have been working as a self-employed artist and musician since 2010 and am now studying marine biology with the aim of moving into the industry since the oceans and conservation have been a life-long passion. I found out about WildHub through the webinar on starting a conservation organisation. I am hoping to learn more from my time here and to meet new people. Marine Biology I am currently studying for a Diploma in marine biology and have just gained a PGCert qualification in GIS. I'm getting involved in voluntary work to gain experience, knowledge, practical skills and to make a difference where I can. Through my music and art work I also have experience in social media, communications and have been involved in numerous local festivals and organising community and charity events.
I am an active invertebrate recorder in London’s green spaces, with a particular interest in the ecologies of urban insects.
I've worked as FSC BioLinks Project Officer and as a freelance field surveyor on behalf of the Forestry Commission; researched ant ecology and evolution, and taught entomology field techniques whilst employed as a Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London. With a keen interest in ecology and entomology, I studied an MSc in Ecology and Evolution from Queen Mary and a BSc in Biodiversity and Conservation from Birkbeck College, University of London.
Previously, I volunteered with the Lepidoptera department and Soil Biodiversity Group at the Natural History Museum, and on the Thorn to Orchid and Water for Wildlife projects with the London Wildlife Trust.
I now work as Biodiversity OFficer for Cody Dock.
Interested in wildlife.During my internship tenure, I was involved in handling, medication and management of Houbara Bustard and different antelope species. I had also worked at zoo's and learnt about the use of Dart gun,feeding, capturing, medication and management of different animals

I'm currently a PhD student in Geography and the Transdisciplinary Research on Environment and Society. My research is focused on the governance of landscape restoration in Africa. Prior to that, I worked with the Ghana Wildlife Society as the Development and Policy Manager where I provide leadership in conservation education, campaigns and Policy advocacy, and communication. I also support in fundraising, project monitoring and partnerships.
A detail-oriented and analytical One Health Specialist with more than 5 years of experience while performing Public Health promotion and Wildlife conservation with related tasks working with both government and non-governmental institutions.

I have an MA in Global Studies from the University of Freiburg- Germany and FLACSO Argentina, MSc in Conservation and Rural Development from the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE), University of Kent. My conservation interest is to improve local community participation and involvement in ecosystem management

I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
