About Taofeeq Adewuyi
I am currently an assistant Biodiversity Manager with Lagos Free Zone, Nigeria. I am leading the biodiversity conservation projects of the Company ranging from the avifauna species diversity of the Zone, biodiversity offset projects on three different sites (Ikorodu, Omo Forest & Ekiadolor Forest Reserve) outside the Zones to the development of about 40 hectares green and blue covers within the Zone.
Similarly, I am also remotely coordinating the Southwest Atlas Team of the Nigerian Bird Atlas Project of the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI), Jos. The aim of the project is to document the distributions and status of the Nigerian avifauna species.
I have 13 Years+ of experience in education and research, environmental sustainability and conservation. I hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Toxicology & Pollution Management, diploma in Estimation of GHG Emissions & Carbon Sequestration in AFOLU - WBG Institute USA, diploma in Introductory Ornithology Field Course - APLORI / National Geographic Society, HSE-MS PMPI certified. I am an IBA / KBA Mapping and Monitoring Specialist, Environmental Risk Assessor, Spatial Data Analyst (QGIS), Biodiversity and socio-economy researcher, Wildlife Hazard Assessor, Avian Ecologist, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocate, Protected Area Management Specialist. I am a Member of British Ecological Society (BES) UK, Associate member of Society for Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management (SETPOM), Member of Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), Member of Environmental Conservation Volunteer (ECV), Member of Nigerian Society for Environmental Conservation (NSEC), Member of Ibadan Bird Club (IBC).
