Save the Elephants (STE) is now accepting applications for its Samburu Research Centre Internship - a unique opportunity for Kenyan students to make an impact and gain real-world skills.

🐘 Why this internship matters

• You’ll be working with one of the most respected elephant-conservation organisations in the world, Save the Elephants, helping preserve Kenya’s elephants and their habitat.
• Based in the iconic Samburu National Reserve region, you’ll experience Africa’s wild landscapes, learn fieldwork protocols, and support research that really matters.
• This internship isn’t just about being out in the field - you’ll develop scientific writing, data-analysis and GIS skills that are essential for modern conservation science.
• It’s a stepping-stone. Past interns have gone on to careers in wildlife management, ecological research and conservation NGOs.
