Happiness or Satisfaction: Is there a difference?

Defining meaning is a challenge. Do you know whether that warm feeling after a successful day is happiness, satisfaction, or both?

Gaining a greater understanding of your well-being is a constant challenge; keeping objectivity when you're close to the subject is complex. How can you step up to the challenge? Having a definition for each concept may be helpful. So, when it comes to well-being, how can you recognize true happiness, and does this differ from feeling satisfied? I'd like to hear how you define happiness and satisfaction.

I am very logically minded but have suffered with huge feelings of anxiety and imposter system over the years. Its still a working progress but I have done a lot of self reflection and enjoy practical exercises to almost exercise my brain and mental health.

What I have learned:

Journalling and mindfulness - have a place where you can look back on all your achievements and great memories

Meditation - really good for working on your nervous system and reducing anxiety

Take a step back - I always find that putting a task down and having a break from it allows you to come back to it in a better mindset

Ask others - I have been incredibly fortunate to have worked with the most amazing and supportive teams. It is okay to have an off day and to ask for ideas surrounding your work. Some of the best ideas come from collaboration and gaining a different point of view.

Thanks for sharing, @Lize Gibson-Hall! I think it can be tough to open up about these subjects, and I'm grateful you are open to talking about your experiences with anxiety and imposter syndrome.
