Hi everyone, I'm Janice and I completed my PhD research that was focused on improving animal welfare. I currently work with the state government's Nature Education team and also part-time at an environment centre, helping connect young people and the wider community with nature.
My background includes research, community engagement, citizen science, teaching, wildlife illustration and managing environmental projects. I'm passionate about telling stories that spark curiosity and deepen our connection with the natural world. Would love to connect with others working in the space of Nature Education and Community Engagement.
As a Ph.D. graduate with a focus on improving animal welfare, my journey is driven by a passion for the natural world and enhancing human-animal relationships. My diverse experience spans independent biological research, community engagement, citizen science, wildlife illustration, teaching, and managing environmental projects.
I aspire to keep sharing my expertise as an Educator, Science Communicator, and Illustrator by telling stories about the natural world and sparking curiosity in the community.
Let's chat about the wild side of life!
