I'm a diver by career and started as a research assistant on Mafia Island in Tanzania back in 2010. I took a brief ten year detour from conservation to dive with the military all over the world. Since then I've returned to the UK and now work with one of the British Rivers Trusts, specialising in River and Woodland habitat creation/restoration. I do a lot of wetland design and creation with work and am always very excited to talk about it and discuss the benefits. I'm also still very keen on all things Marine Conservation and would love to hear more on what's new and happening around the British Isles with conservation efforts and the establishment of Marine Protected Areas. Cheers.

Welcome to WildHub, Henry! There's a social in a little over a week where you might meet other members. Out of curiosity, how did you find the platform?
My wife is also a member and suggested I join up.
You're welcome to WildHub Henry, I'm sure you have some lessons gained from diving all over the world that could be applied in Conservation???
A warm welcome to WildHub Henry! Great to have you join (and please thank your wife for her suggestion :)
Your description of your "brief ten year detour" made me laugh. What is one of the most unexpected situations that you found yourself in (one that you are willing to share)? Feel free to share with us your stories during the upcoming WildHub Social that Lara mentioned - I look forward to meeting you.
