I joined WildHub to connect with fellow conservation practitioners and to foster the exchange of experiences and ideas in biodiversity conservation. I believe in the power of community and shared knowledge to drive impactful conservation efforts. I am currently based in Côte d'Ivoire, where I work as an Assistant Project Coordinator with CEM (Conservation des Espèces Marines), focusing on marine species conservation. Through WildHub, I hope to build meaningful connections with other professionals in the field, gain insights into innovative conservation strategies, and contribute my knowledge and experiences to the community.
Gilles Florent SORO holds a Master’s Degree in Climate Change and Marine Sciences from the Atlantic Technical University of Cape Verde and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology, Biology and Animal Ecology; Life and Earth Sciences). Gilles is passionate about biodiversity conservation, with a particular focus on the conservation of sharks and rays, and works as a project coordinator of the NGO Conservation des Espèces Marines (CEM) in Côte d'Ivoire, and as Deputy Coordinator of the West African Sea Turtle Conservation Network (WASTCON).
