Hello everyone!
I'm Rebecca and I live in a small village in Cambridgeshire. I have a bachelor's degree in zoology and a master's in ecology, specialising in orangutan ecology in Borneo.
I have worked in conservation for over ten years with several NGO's including the Bat Conservation Trust as a Project Development Officer; the Scottish Wildlife Trust as a Survey & Data Officer on the 'Saving Scotland's Red Squirrels' project; Forest Research as a Project Officer studying red deer health across Scotland; and The Society for Environmental Exploration as a Primary Research Officer carrying out fauna and flora surveys in Tanzania.
Unfortunately, in the last two years, I have not been able to secure a job in zoology. I have signed up to this course in PMWC to give my CV a much needed boost, increase my chances of getting back into the field of zoology, and to prepare me for a PhD that I would like to start in the next two years.
In my free time I enjoy wildlife photography, camera trapping, yoga, and spending time with my dog 'Bear'.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing about all your amazing experiences :)
