Hi everyone, my name is Thirza Loffeld. I'm originally from the Netherlands and have been living in the UK since 2016. I am really excited to get to know you all a bit better! Some random things about me: I love chocolate (dark chocolate with ginger is my favourite) and my best wildlife encounter was seeing the above silverback Makumba walking bipedal across a bai in the Dzanga-Sangha National Parks in Central Africa. My background is in primate conservation and community-based conservation, mainly in Africa and SE Asia. From 2016-2021, I worked on my PhD research that looked at the role of capacity development in enhancing work performance in nature conservation. In January 2020, I joined WildTeam UK as the Community Manager for WildHub and it is my privilege to facilitate the development of our community.
