I'm currently serving as the director of biodiversity conservation association Biflores in the smallest inhabited island of the Cape Verdean archipelago - Brava. Our association works on the intersection of development and conservation of biodiversity, aiming to ensure a sustainable future for humans and non-humans on Brava.

I am a field primatologist studying the behavior and conservation of a population of wild mantled howler monkeys in Costa Rica. We have regularly darted and captured individuals as part of a monitoring and health (i.e., collection of biological samples) research program that is investigating factors contributing to their decline.
