Searching for postdoc positions
Hi WildHub community! I am searching for post doc positions in conservation social science (protected area management and governance, community based conservation, social-ecological systems research, coastal conservation and governance). Currently, I am in the final stages of finishing my dissertation, and a starting time of August-September 2026 fits with my graduation timeline.
My dissertation is exploring adaptive capacity in the community cooperative institutions in Chilika, India, in the face of large system changes. I am interested in continuing this thread into social-ecological systems research and community-system interactions.

I have been encouraged by senior professionals to use 'community partners' or 'participants' in conservation projects. Interesting enough, I have been part of conversations that 'stakeholders' should be removed from use, since the term implies a business-like power dynamics.
I think all of these are extremely useful, especially B. In relation to C, I think it would be useful to have resources that help conduct interviews while keeping cultural contexts in mind. It would also be useful to have tools for clear presentation of qualitative data, something I struggle with working alongside colleagues conducting natural science research.
