An explorer and an aspirant biodiversity conservation researcher. I seek to delve deeper into the study of the human-nature nexus and strive to foster more harmonious coexistence. I have gained brief experience in wildlife conservation at the Creative Conservation Alliance, working with Western Hoolock Gibbons and a few other wild animals. I am also working as an Associate Trainer at Mekateam, a game-based pedagogy where I provide training on basic climate literacy and biodiversity conservation to youth. Moreover, I synthesize and express my understanding of biodiversity and the natural world through my initiative, 'Toru.' Currently, I am undertaking research on Asian Elephants addressing the human-elephant conflict in Bangladesh.

Mr. Paudel currently serves as a senior program manager at Bird Conservation Nepal. He has over fourteen years of experience in bird and biodiversity conservation, fundraising, project planning and implementation, and engaging with local communities to safeguard threatened bird species.

Since July 2025, I have been serving as the Community Advocates Coordinator at WildHub, where I coordinate initiatives to engage, support, and empower our community advocates in advancing WH’s mission. Beyond WildHub, I wear a few different hats. I work as a researcher and lecturer in Sweden, teaching courses on environmental law, political and historical ecology, and disaster management. I also mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, collaborate with faculty members, and contribute to ongoing research projects. I’m passionate about giving back through volunteer work. I support a few conservation and animal welfare organisations with research and advocacy to help drive positive change. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking forest trails with my dog or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Hi wild team my name is Cyprian Chisi, and I am excited to join this vibrant network of conservation professionals. I have just completed my BSc degree in Natural Resource Management (Wildlife & Ecotourism), from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, i also hold a Diploma in Environmental Management. i specialised in wildlife management, GIS and Remote sensing, Research,Biodiversity conservation, ornithology, ecosystem managment, watershed and wetland management, eco tourism planing, environmental education, population ecology and sustainable land mangement. I expect to connect with experts, professionals and mentors here at WildHub and this will help me to find more opportunities in conservation journey like partnerships, funding, scholarships, learning, internships and leadership development as well as job opportunities.  

Abubakar Siddiqu With a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, I have a comprehensive understanding of animal biology, behavior, and ecology. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in the principles of zoology, including evolutionary biology, environmental science, and animal physiology. I am passionate about wildlife conservation and the study of animal interactions within their ecosystems. My studies have involved hands-on laboratory work, field research, and data analysis, which have honed my skills in scientific inquiry and critical thinking. I am adept at using various research methodologies to explore biological phenomena and contribute to meaningful scientific discussions. As a proactive learner and dedicated researcher, I am keen to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world challenges in zoology and conservation. I’m Gaia, 27 years old, originally from Italy, and currently based in Sint Maarten. While my background is in wildlife conservation, I strongly believe that knowledge and information should be accessible and shared with people of all ages. This is why I focus much of my work on engaging young people in Sint Maarten. I’m also passionate about the power of behavioral change as a tool to address many of today’s environmental challenges. I’m here to expand my network, gain new insights, and draw inspiration from the community!

I have been working as a self-employed artist and musician since 2010 and am now studying marine biology with the aim of moving into the industry since the oceans and conservation have been a life-long passion.   I found out about WildHub through the webinar on starting a conservation organisation. I am hoping to learn more from my time here and to meet new people. Marine Biology I am currently studying for a Diploma in marine biology and have just gained a PGCert qualification in GIS.  I'm getting involved in voluntary work to gain experience, knowledge, practical skills and to make a difference where I can. Through my music and art work I also have experience in social media, communications and have been involved in numerous local festivals and organising community and charity events.

Gilles Florent SORO holds a Master’s Degree in Climate Change and Marine Sciences from the Atlantic Technical University of Cape Verde and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology, Biology and Animal Ecology; Life and Earth Sciences). Gilles is passionate about biodiversity conservation, with a particular focus on the conservation of sharks and rays, and works as a project coordinator of the NGO Conservation des Espèces Marines (CEM) in Côte d'Ivoire, and as Deputy Coordinator of the West African Sea Turtle Conservation Network (WASTCON).

For over a decade, he has worked in the non-profit biodiversity conservation sector, collaborating with international NGOs and UN agencies to drive impactful initiatives. His research includes in-depth analyses of frankincense harvesting regions in Somalia, where he has authored numerous papers on site management and conservation strategies. Ibrahim is committed to promoting sustainable practices that foster harmonious coexistence between communities and wildlife, and he aspires to further his impact through a PhD in the near future.

Hi there! I'm based in London (Irish citizen, from Galway). I studied Applied Marine and Freshwater Science and graduated in 2016. I worked in this field, took part in research surveys (oceanography and cetacean sightings) and did some volunteering in marine conservation. Since moving to London in 2018, my career shifted to corporate, start up, and small businesses, working as an Exec Assistant and Project Manager.  Conservation and Animal Behaviour and Welfare is still a big passion of mine and I want to immerse myself back in this line of work! When I was ten I decided to study marine biology and become an expert in sharks, unfortunately suffering from sea sickness I decided to change plans. So I started my path by graduating as a chemical and biological laboratory technician and studying environmental science. Right out of university I was able to volunteer for a year in a natural park as an environmental educator and marketing assistant. Due to family problems I had to help in the family business and I employed my expertise in finding new sustainable materials used in the small fashion company my family owned until Covid. In 2021 I opened my own company focusing in localization and marketing services to support sustainable initiatives such as: - translating subtitles for courses focused on decarbonization and circular economy - localization of the Earth Hero app, thanks to the Proz Pro Bono initiative I am currently finishing a 6-months course to become a front-end developer and help clients creating unique pages to promote their initiatives.
