The Wildlife Justice Commission (WJC) — an innovative NGO dedicated to disrupting and dismantling transnational criminal networks trafficking wildlife, timber, and fish — is offering three immersive six-month internships in The Hague, Netherlands starting next year. 

📌 Please note: To be eligible for any internship, you must have the right to live and work in the Netherlands or be enrolled as a student in a Dutch educational institution for the duration of the program.


What to Expect from These Internships

These internships are designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience in the fight against wildlife crime. 🧑‍💼 1. Development & Fundraising Intern

As a Development & Fundraising Intern, you’ll support the team in building and diversifying WJC’s funding base. You’ll help research potential donors, assist with tracking donation data, contribute to marketing materials like social media posts and emails, and support fundraising events. This role is ideal for someone with strong research skills and a passion for nonprofit development. 

⚖️ 2. Legal Intern

The Legal Internship places you at the heart of WJC’s mission to leverage the rule of law against wildlife criminals. You’ll assist with legal research, drafting documents, and supporting ongoing investigations. This position is perfect for students or graduates in law who want hands-on experience working with legal professionals tackling global wildlife crime. 

📣 3. Communications Intern

Are you a creative communicator? As a Communications Intern, you’ll help amplify WJC’s impact by creating compelling content, researching wildlife crime narratives, supporting media engagement, designing communications materials, and contributing to outreach strategy. This role offers excellent experience in nonprofit communications and storytelling.
