New to Conservation Field
Hello, I'm Sim and I have recently graduated with a Diploma in Environmental Studies. I have volunteered with an environmental charity in Australia, helping refresh and extend their database so they are able to send their message out further. I have also volunteered with an environmental charity in New Zealand, helping with litter surveying, audits and events to help them clean their waterway systems and protect their marine life.
I am looking to learn more in the field, through learning the best practices and learning from mentors and other like minded people/groups around the world. I believe we have something to learn from each other and so many practices that we can try to incorporate in our local communities by networking and sharing ideas.
Starting out in the Conservation field, I have just completed and graduated from a Diploma in Environmental Studies and am looking into trying to get some experience in the field to help my learning progress.
I have also just gained some citizen scientist experience within New Zealand aiding in their Coastal Conservation Volunteer programme.
I am currently in Australia, volunteering with an Environmental charity, helping with their database and am still looking for work with other environmental companies/charities.
I am very interested in Forest Ecology and Wildlife.
